To state for the record, I am not a fan of Black Metal. I have delved into a bit of Emperor and Absu but haven't really strayed to much. I found this band on Encyclopaedia Metallum as a band that was being added to the roster and listened to the tunes on Myspace and then came here, found and ordered a copy of the CD. Not every song got me but there are about six really good, meaty heavy songs and then there are some good songs that maybe didn't catch my attention but are still great tunes nonetheless. The "band" is really on guy, Luctus or Kommander L, and he hired session musicians for the recording of this, his first proper album released in '09. He put out a couple EP's and a split but this is the first real album for the band. It's a good mix of thrash with black metal influences, such as the vocals -the musicianship is fantastic, the song writing seems to be well structured and since I don't speak the language, can't speak for the lyrics. If you like your thrash heavy and dark but not evil, then check this album out by the band Luctus: Jauèiant Pabaig¹ Arti -you won't regret it!
