HASH(0xa32f6454) von 5 Sternen This is not a How-to Book 19. Juli 2012
Von Mike Weller - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com

This book has lots of anecdotes about "incredible powers" one may achieve with neigong. If anecdotes about past masters are what you are looking for, this is your book. If on the other hand you are trying to advance your internal energy beyond basic qigong exercises I would advise you look elsewhere.

Yes, many neigong terms were used throughout the book, and no, I didn't see any description of how to achieve the various techniques (e.g. microcosmic orbit).

I wanted a how-to book, I'll be looking elsewhere.

HASH(0x959c58ac) von 5 Sternen Great overview on theory, zero practical information 12. März 2014
Von Swashbuckle - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
I really enjoy Bodri's material, and in many ways I want to give him a higher rating on this work, simply because it has SO much to offer in terms of understanding why nei-gong works.

That is, this book offers a top-notch introduction to the physical aspects of cultivation practice, the "how and why" of internal energy cultivation, the range of potential experiences, the reasons to start, and tips on what to watch for when you practice.

However, it really offers nothing in terms of actual technique. If you want something to teach you even the most basic nei-gong, this definitely is not it. The various 5-star ratings are not doing potential readers any favors if they do not mention the lack of practical techniques, as the book's title & description does imply that such information is present in the text.

So, take that as you will -- if you are interested in a MUCH deeper understanding of Nei Gong than most teachers will ever offer, by all means, pick up this book. It's truly excellent.

If you want to actually learn viable nei-gong techniques, look elsewhere -- of this author's material, Bodri's "Little Book of Meditation" and "Little Book of Hercules" would be a better choice.

HASH(0x95cd7684) von 5 Sternen 10,000 hours, deep practice, Super Powers and a whole lot more! 5. April 2013

Mr.Bodri's book isn't just for the martial artist. Anyone setting out to master a skill they're passionate about will have the tools on how to do it; be it writing, photography, tennis, public speaking, or any skill people are interested in.

The idea that with 10,000 hours of practice, one can become an Olympic level performer in any field, is expanded in this book with the authors own interesting input.

The practice of Celibacy for males. How this can build one's mind and improve performance. For example, how athletes are told not to have sex before game time (Helps players focus and develops internal power over time). How one doesn't need to be single, but how overindulging can deplete a man's vital force or Jing; the fuel that helps us to accomplish great benevolent tasks for humanity, or whatever our altruistic or philanthropic goals are.

There are interesting stories of martial artists and people who followed similar strategies which Mr. Bodri writes about and makes the read highly absorbing and interesting.

Other topics include: Visualization's power to create results, breathing exercises to improve health and increase internal power, anapana- the quickest and safest way to transform the body, mind, and energies, diet and cleansing tips to speed up our efforts.

This quick read is your ally if you want to make something of your life.

I highly recommend all of Mr. Bodri's books. His site contains tons of material to read at Meditationexpert.com

If you want to find out how to become a leader, a pro, a master in any field of life, get this book! If it's too pricey, visit Meditationexpert.com and read the articles and his blog. They will assist you also.

P.S.- Self help books will never be the same after Mr. Bodri's books begin to become popular. Why be the last to get in on this? Get his books and start practicing now!

May you achieve great success and greater wisdom for creating a meaningful happy life.

HASH(0x9634c618) von 5 Sternen The Foundation of Wushu 10. Januar 2012
Von Farmer - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Some people wonder what it was like in the very beginning, before Martial Arts (Wushu) became a world wide phenomenon. Today, we see several hundred styles both internal/external, but we don't know the underlying, common root of them all. Make no mistake about it, Wushu is about energy, creating an energy body, becoming aware of truth and seeing the TAO (Enlightenment).

Most individuals never ask themselves, "Why was I attracted to the Martial Arts to begin with"? Something in your consciousness, like a seed that blossums into a flower, a thought came forth and down that road you went! No matter what style you have studied, we have never been shown or told the whole truth. Just like Business, Government, Religion, we are only told enough to keep us, not free us!

Being a Martial Artist myself, if you want to kick/punch faster, project your chi, see mind/consciousness or JUST "get on the road to self realization". This book contains the knowledge, methods, and teachings to show you the path. It is true, "that the simplest is the most profound", however without the right teacher everyone is just spinning wheels. Mr. Bodri is that individual.

This is the first and only book written, that will take any Martial Artist to the highest level of achievment in their particular style. The majority think that Nei-Gong is many different styles that teach a person to push or pull their chi, with hundreds of methods. True Nei-Gong, as Mr. Bodri explains, and teaches you, dates back to the days before Martial Arts! However, nobody teaches this today, because there hasn't been anyone capable of such a marriage.

I can't say enough about this book, other than it will become the corner stone of all Martial Arts down the road!
This is one book that all Martial Artists should have in their library and I know in time you will have read it so many times, that the gloss will wear off, the pages will have faded, but that shining you, will be brighter than ever.

Thanks

This book has some interesting content, but it is very poorly written in terms of grammar and the author goes on to topics without getting in depth enough to make the reading worth the effort.
