With all the absolute purile crap being touted as modern sci-fi thriller, it is a true pleasure to read a fascinating, nuance rich and exciting story. I liked the pacing, the fact that the authour does not explain every move or phrase a character makes (man, is that a drag. Unlike many authours, I have an education!)
In particular, Suarez walks the edge of known technologies, sometimes looking pretty far into the chasm and scaring the crap out of the reader, and that is exactly what good sci-fi is about. Fantasy and technology coupled with the unknow.
Well worth reading and I'm moving on to another of his books.
