Ein hinter dem USB-Isolator angeschlossenes Gerät wird von dem USB-Host Isoliert. Es wird vom Host nicht mehr erkannt und eine Kommunikation ist ebenfalls nicht möglich.
Als alternative kann man auch den Stecker des zu isolierenden Gerätes einfach aus dem USB-Port ziehen.

Warum Isolator nicht funktioniert ist mir unklar, da die Beschattung der Analog Devices Isolators auf den ersten Blick korrekt zu sein scheint.

This little devil got me confused for a moment just after i plugged it in. Then i figure it out. It does work if you connect it between the sound module and the pc usb (cause the module has no power to work). But it works if you use a powered hub and the connect this isolator between the hub and the PC port. Then all the sound modeles work cause they powered from the hub and you get no noise cause you dont mixe with the pc usb power. So dont mind the negative reviews.

Verwende es für einen ST-Link Klon. Funktioniert super. Jedoch sollte man bedenken, dass der mögliche Strom sehr gering ist.

Kleiner 4 Port USB-Hub, ST-Link, UART-USB Adapter und ein kleiner STM32 sorgen bereits dafür, dass die Spannung des ST-Link so unsauber ist, dass gescheite ADC Messungen nicht mehr möglich sind. Wenn ich den STM32 extern versorge funktioniert es super.

Mehrere Mikrocontroller, vielleicht noch mit Display funktioniert nicht.

Dieser USB-Isolator leitet offensichtlich keine korrekten Gerätekennungen von angeschlossenen USB-Audio-Interfaces an den PC weiter. Somit werden diese dort auch nicht erkannt und entsprechend verbunden. Echt schade, denn somit ist dieses Teil für meine Zwecke so gut wie unbrauchbar, selbst wenn es sich dabei um ältere Low-Speed bis Full-Speed Audio-Interfaces (USB 1.1) handelt, und keine High-Speed Interfaces. Es ist offensichtlich egal, welche der beiden Schalterstellungen gerade aktiv ist, leider funktioniert keine von beiden, sofern das angeschlossene USB-Gerät keine eigene Stromversorgung mitbringt. So wie es aussieht ist dieser Isolator wohl nur für "unintelligente" USB-Peripherie mit eigener Stromversorgung anwendbar.

Ging sofort zurück, wurde aber Dank Amazon ganz problemlos abgewickelt. Habe stattdessen ein anderes Modell (Stichwort ISAR540) gewählt. Siehe auch meine positive Rezension dort.

Ich hatte ein Keyboard per Audio und USB an den PC angeschlossen und habe über die USB-Masse Störgeräusche im Audio-Kanal bekommen.
Dieses Board hat das behoben, USB (für MIDI) funktioniert bei mir nach wie vor einwandfrei.
Einziges Manko: Es ist keinerlei Info dabei, nicht einmal ein Zettel auf dem steht, wofür der kleine Schalter gut ist.

Mijn bureau heeft een macbook met dock en een PC die samen via USB & S/PDIF op dezelfde DAC zitten aangesloten. De S/PDIF geeft uiteraard geen problemen, maar zodra de USB kabel in de MAC of PC gaat ontstaat er een grounding loop. Een irritant geluid dat hoorbaar is zodra de muis beweegt of als een van de computers iets harder aan het werk gaat. Het afplakken van de ground pin in de USB connector hielp niet. Ook het compleet afsluiten van de stroomvoorziening via de kabel hielp niet. Elke USB poort ongeacht welke computer gaf hetzelfde probleem.
Na lang zoeken de ADUM4160/ADUM3160 aanbevolen gekregen. Het niet het meest nette printplaatje dat ik heb gezien. Dat maakt gelukkig niet uit voor de werking. Want het werkt gewoon! Hij hangt nu tussen de PC en de USB kabel die naar de DAC gaat. Geen rare storende geluiden meer!
