Tolle Bilder und Wörte, aber zu wenig für den Preis. Es ist für junge Kinder geeignet, die meistens Englisch noch nicht als Fremdsprache beherrschen.

HASH(0x959e11c8) von 5 Sternen Excellent Book! 15. Oktober 2013
Von J. Sciple - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Gebundene Ausgabe Verifizierter Kauf
I was very excited to hear of the content of this book before it came out. As the author mentions, we live in a world where "I don't know" seems an unacceptable answer. People tend to come to conclusions about things prematurely to avoid not knowing. My wife and I are raising three boys and I was thrilled to find a book that placed value on wonder and curiosity about the world. I read the book to my two older boys tonight (7 and 5 years old). It was awesome to see how engaged they were in this book. We talked for a long time afterwards about things that they wonder about. We discussed healthy ways to look for answers to their questions, but also about the importance of embracing wonder in the absence of answers. This was truly a unique reading experience with my sons tonight.

HASH(0x947f8dec) von 5 Sternen Beautiful book 20. Oktober 2013
Von atheist_grandma - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Gebundene Ausgabe
I participated in the Kickstarter funding for this book and was excited to get my copy. It is truly a beautiful book to look at; the illustrations are stunning. The story is a good starting point for young girls (and boys) to find out about the universe, starting with the moon. More importantly, to say, "I don't know" when you don't have an answer rather than choosing God as the answer. This is a subtle point in the book but an important one.

I do wish the story went a little deeper but, as I said above, it's a good starting point. I don't think you can go wrong with this book if you want to begin educating your young children about the universe and all things wondrous in the cosmos.

HASH(0x947f8d2c) von 5 Sternen Beautiful art and message 20. Oktober 2013
Von Kathleen - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Gebundene Ausgabe
I absolutely loved the artwork in this book. It gives the feeling of dreamy wonderment. I bought 2 copies. One for my grandsons and one to keep for future grandchildren. We need to raise a generation of not just 'wonderers' but curious seekers and scientists. This book is a jumping off point for those kind of discussions with children.

My children liked the story after the first read and I like the message. After reading there was a short conversation with my 4 year old regarding what she wondered about. I look forward to continue reading the book to my children as they grow and hope we continue to have such conversations.

HASH(0x94801c9c) von 5 Sternen Short, sweet and profoundly moving story 21. Oktober 2013
Von Stamatin - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Gebundene Ausgabe Verifizierter Kauf
As a future mother and free-thinker, I felt a deep affinity with the author's notes and welcomed the book at this moment in my life. It is an ongoing concern of mine to make sure that future generations grow up aware and inquisitive about the mysteries of the universe, learn from our existing knowledge and find answers to questions we cannot respond to currently. While the story itself appears short, the meaning is rich and timeless. The illustrations are beautiful and the artwork shows the love and empathy between the mother and her daughter.
