“If only there was one single, sensible, sympathetic book that answered all your toddler questions. Well there is. And you're holding it: An easy-to-read source that explains what toddlers do, why they do it, and whether you have to jump in or not. The good news is: Often the answer is ‘not.’” (Lenore Skenazy, author of Free-Range Kids: How to Raise Safe, Self-Reliant Kids (Without Going Nuts With Worry))
“In this wonderful book, Tovah Klein draws on her deep understanding of toddlers and their development to offer a treasure-trove of wise and practical advice. During our year at the toddler center we learn more than we could ever imagine, we learned to be better parents, to reflect on who we are (and was as children) and to except our child for whom she is. Without there advice we would most certainly have "over parent" and control our daughter instead of letting her grow to be her own person and learn in her own pace. We know that we are better parents after sharing Dr. Klein's advice, research and personal experience with toddlers.
We always had a bit of guilt that we had access to this amazing information and were always wishing it would reach every parent out there. This book is it!!! We got a copy for every single one of our toddler parent friends, family members and caregiver.
It's easy to read, makes you think and reflect, and is not complicating parenting like so many other books do.
