Synopsis

Your problem is: how can you get through the next few months or (God forbid) years until this Six Sigma nonsense blows over? Worry no more! This book will give you the knowledge, tools, and insights you need to guarantee the failure of Six Sigma in your organization. We know this is a big claim, but believe us, many companies have tested and proven these can't-miss ideas. So relax, Mr. (or Ms.) Manager! We guarantee that just a few pages into this book and you will be making decisions that will severely cripple this Six Sigma "thing". After that, you'll be able to sit back and smile as they all come crawling back to your office, asking for forgiveness, and pleading with you for the real solution to the company's problems (which of course, you already have- you've just been waiting for the right moment to whip it out and be the hero that you deserve to be, right?).

HASH(0x9f05cf54) von 5 Sternen How Not to Implement Six Sigma by Norm Friberg and Elaine Kowansky 7. März 2008
Von James W. Martin - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Taschenbuch
In their new book entitled, How Not to Implement Six Sigma, Norm Friberg and Elaine Kowansky describe the major failure (and success) points of six sigma initiatives. They certainly have the experience to provide this advice given their backgrounds at Volvo and General Electric respectively. I recommend this book for any level of six sigma training, but especially for executives and champions. It is a short and entertaining read which can be completed in one business trip. In the past twelve years I have been involved with approximately twenty major six sigma deployments. These deployments exhibited varying degrees of success relative to their initial goals and objectives. This book can help make your deployment successful.

HASH(0x9f064a08) von 5 Sternen Must Read for Managers! 26. Juni 2006
Von Jonathan - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Taschenbuch
Where was this book when I was struggling with Six Sigma? First, I like the length of the book - I was able to finish it on the plane. Second, I like the sense of humor used in delivering tough messages. Third, I always liked books with pictures - especially cartoons. Last but not the least, the book does contain practical tips on how to do Six Sigma right and to hedge against potential distractions. Not just a good book but a great book.
