The second part is about Nigel. After spending years abroad as a mercenary and trying to forget his impossible love for Maldie (his brother's wife), Nigel becomes the protector of a French noblewoman accused of murder. She looks just like the woman he's trying to forget. Coincidence or fate. Nigel is afraid to trust his feelings - are they really for her or for the other? And Gisele is afraid to trust Nigel after being abused by her brutal husband. The plot is not quite as multi-layered as in the first part but still very enjoyable.
I liked the book and thought that it was very exciting and very sweet how the hero is so understanding. I have to admit that I was not looking so forward to reading this book because my Mom picked it out for me. Lately she had picked up some bad ones. Just to let you know you do get mad at him a little tward the end for not telling her something, but its not something you can 't handle. Have fun with this read I know that I did.
