Kurzbeschreibung

The second book in the Lost Anderson series is here, and it comes to you with a kicking and screaming heiress.
Brielle Storm inherits a dilapidated ranch in the wilds of Montana and she isn’t happy about her situation in the least. She may be moving to her new home, and she may be planning on doing whatever it takes to make her billionaire father happy, but she certainly won’t be doing it with a smile on her face.

No. Brielle plans on coming to Montana, hiring some ranch hand to do all the work, and then getting out of there before the first winter snow has a chance to hit.

Montana isn’t a state that offers predictable weather and Brielle is going to find out that the land isn’t the only thing she has to fear.

When her hotter than any city boy ever dreams of being, cowboy neighbor shows up on her doorstep, Brielle decides that maybe Montana isn’t so bad after-all.

That is until he laughs openly at her city girl ways. Then, she has something to prove…

5.0 von 5 Sternen Awesome 19. Juli 2014
Von DonnaPhills59pa/ Spreading The Word with Denise& Donna - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
This is the second in the series. This was as great as the last. Brielle Storm inherits a ranch in Montana. It is failing and her father wants her to bring it up to a producing ranch. Brielle is a city girl and she loves the city and all that goes on. She hates Montana and this ranch. She meets a handsome guy named, Colt, who she thinks works for her. He really owns the ranch next door, but he lets Brielle believe he does work at her ranch. She finds him very attractive, but she also feels he is a player. As Brielle tries to win over the ranch hands and make them listen to her she finds they don't. She wants to learn how to make the ranch a success but no one wants to help her, so Colt decides he will. as the start to develop a relationship problems arise. You will love this book. It is a great read.

3.0 von 5 Sternen Wanted to love it. Just fell flat. 11. September 2014
Von J-Ro! - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com

I've been reading this whole series. . . I don't know what to say about this one. I wanted to LOVE it as it took place on a ranch. But Brielle was just a spoiled brat. And I realize that she was suppose to be, but give me a break. First of all she is taking over the ranch. HOW does she not figure out who does and does not work for her? I mean who pays the ranch hands? Why doesn't she care when Colt (who "works" for her) isn't at work on certain days. For being educated and smart some of those things should have come up. Because of that I felt one of the main parts of the plot was terribly unbelievable. That was disappointing. I did like the ranch, the town, the other characters in the book.

2.0 von 5 Sternen Author Demonstrated Unfamiliarity About Ranching - Spoilers Alert 30. März 2015
Von Amazon Customer - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Taschenbuch
First of all, if the author knows the workings of a ranch, she would change the storyline. If Brielle is the owner of the ranch, she is the one who pays the ranch hands. She would know Colt is not one of her ranch hands. Unless her father paid them? If he did, it would defeat the purpose of Brielle running the ranch.

And I truly disliked Brielle. She was just a brat. Very unlikeable. Meeting her mother caused her to act like a brat? I don't think so. She was just a society girl who was spoiled by an inattentive father which is quite common. And Colt saw a good person underneath that? I certainly didn't. She never showed anything good so how the hell did Colt "see"? All I saw was strong sexual chemistry - which I suspect Colt "found" redeeming qualities in Brielle to justify his attraction to her.

Melody could have developed Brielle's character better and improved her likeability as well as research how a ranch works, what the owner does, how ranch hands are paid, all that. The reality is an owner does not have to work. The foreman is the one who actually runs the ranch and that was Tony. All the owner is required to do is pay their wages, buy and sell, and monitor the gains and losses. Those were what Brielle needed to know. That did not require Brielle to work with Colt if she knew that and if she knew that he was the owner, that would be what Brielle would ask of Colt as another ranch owner to help her learn how to do what an owner does which is not working the land or working with ranch hands.

So, Colt, as a fellow ranch owner, did not clue Brielle in and had her get dirty, muck the stalls, and all that, simply to get her off her soapbox of rages against the world, to calm her rages, to humble her. That was clever. One thing Melody got right.

The sexual chemistry is the other good thing about the story. So 2 stars because sex scenes do not make a good story - the characters do.

To sum it up, the story is awash with misconceptions of how a ranch runs, making it simply unbelievable, as well as that Colt found redeeming qualities in Brielle.

3.0 von 5 Sternen Hidden Treasure (Billionaire Bachelors) by Melody Anne 26. September 2014
Von Amazon Customer - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Have read series and other than slight variance, books seem to resemble Tom Cruise movies--- same character, different location & name, but script pretty much the same! However, in all fairness I kept reading the next one, partially to see if the next hook up would be who I thought it would be, and hoping some births would be multiples. Am pretty sure author intended for Joseph to have had a subdural hematoma rather than "epidural" and as a nurse was offended by Kinsey ABONDONING her patients for a tryst, great nurses don't do that. Maybe combine catching fire from a hot cheerleading or other part would have been more believable, and she really didn't think to put a brake on? Just a little disenchanting, as the series progressed.

4.0 von 5 Sternen One sexy ranch hand who wasn't what he claimed - one spoiled brat finding love at last 21. August 2015
Von Marsha @ Keeper Bookshelf - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
One year later, Brielle was still seething over her father’s ultimatum. He had cut off the inheritance of all five of his children, closed their trust funds, checking accounts and credit card accounts… basically penniless. For their own good, he says, he bought five failing businesses and allowed his children to pick one to make profitable again – and if he was satisfied with the results then and only then he would reinstate their inheritance and funds again.

Brielle had refused to play his game by his rules and had taken off on her own… leaving the folder containing the ranch information on the table untouched. It hadn’t been easy, her university studies hadn’t prepared her for working in the real world but she had gotten a retail job and a tiny apartment… until the store closed and she couldn’t find another job. Defeated but outwardly determined to not show it, Brielle had returned to her father’s offices reluctantly and agreed to take on the ranch.

Colt had been furious when the ranch had been snatched up before he could buy it… by an outsider no less. It wasn’t that he needed the ranch, his spread was large, he was wealthy enough to not really need the additional acres… but since this rundown ranch ran along side of his own property it made sense to increase his lands. And now some rich bitch, city girl who’s daddy had bought the ranch was standing on the creaking steps in her silly heels and silks and attitude – big attitude. Colt wasn’t really sure what made him do it. He had come over with the intention of waving his checkbook in the city girl’s face and offer to take this eyesore off her hands – but he didn’t. Instead he found himself laughing at her, attracted to her and declaring that he was one of her ranch hands. She was doomed to failure, they both knew it but having a bit of fun at the rich girl’s expense sounded like a good idea at the time. It wasn’t until later that his on the spot decision would come back to bite him.

I have loved the Andersons since the very first novel. This was the first time that it took a long time for me to warm up to one of them. Brielle is a total rich, entitled, spoiled brat bitch. There is simply no other word for her. We get hints throughout the beginning of the story that Brielle was not always like this, something happened around the time when she was thirteen that completely changed the loving, lighthearted girl that she was into the hard, unfeeling, uncaring person with a hard shell that she became. We will learn what that event was – I’m just not convinced that it was big enough to change a person — but, let me be clear, I’m not the author and this is not my story to tell only to read, so I go with what is put in front of me and react to that only. She softened after that reveal. She tried, and to some extent she succeeded… I just never fell in love with the character. I liked her finally once she became human but even at the end I just merely liked what she had become. It’s hard to admit that not every character in a series is going to have you rooting for them from the first word – but it happens. It didn’t take away from enjoying the novel or from loving Colt, even if I did want to smack him upside the head for holding on to his lie for far too long. So yes, it got 4 stars from me for Colt, for the Andersons and the engaging story, just not for Brielle. (I let this review stew for a couple weeks, just to be certain that I still felt the same way… and I do. I just could not like Brielle, and that makes me kinda sad, but still the truth)
