GET A LIFE!
am 25. Juli 2000
When I was listening to all of the STUPID advertisements for this book, I was thinking that the book would be better than the other three, mainly because in longer books the plot is normally more interesting. Well- this book was surprising, but it wasn't because it was the best, it's because it was the worst. The plot slows almost to a stop in the middle, and it's hard to get back on track. This series is origional, but personally I have to agree with my mother, that the only reason the series is so popular is because there's nothing out there. No other books are written for this age group, so when somebody finally does write one, everyone says they love it, they couldn't put it down, whatever. Would you like to know why they couldn't put it down? Because if they did they would never pick it up again. Would you like to know why they say they love it? Because if they hated it then they would have nothing to do during those few days after it comes out when everyone is still trying to force their way through it. Don't get me wrong, I have read all of the books, but only because Barnes and Noble was out of the Mercedes Lackey books. I read this 700 odd page book in a few hours- I also knew that if I didn't read it then I would hurt my mother's feelings when she went out and bought it for me. I would like everyone out there to know that there are some books for teens out there, and they don't have to be stuck reading this dribble. Head for the books by Mercedes Lackey, or Anne McCaffrey- all of their books are better, even though none of them have been the subject of radio commercials (or maybe it's because of that...) Well- I can't tell you what to read- I can only tell you that there are better things to do with your life than read this junk.
