Now and then, you find a story that just hums along and sucks you in. The premise is a bit unlikely, but who cares? The lead characters are very likeable, the ancillary friends and family are well developed and contribute to the overall feel. It has a child character who is really fun (unusual for me to think so). Little different take on a medical drama than Rad. Anyway, I loved this book. It passed the time quickly and I found myself hating to put it down. Read it, you will feel better, I promise.

HASH(0x9505ced0) von 5 Sternen Goes off the rails, needs a good edit 13. April 2014

That this story started out as a fanfic isn't hard to believe, but I wish I'd known before I read it. I also assume it's self published because it needs editing (comma placement and incorrect words throughout). It also has the u-haul trope firmly in effect. As if that wasn't enough a ridiculously contrived misunderstanding drags on and on from about the two thirds point, and even though multiple characters tell Maddie the truth about what happened she still stubbornly clings to her hurt feelings. Then a 7 year old child pulls off a flight across country that would never happen in a million years, but not to worry, because we have a happy ending that results despite no discussion about what happened by the two leads. Not content with this though, the author piles on not one, but two ridiculous epilogues. Save your time and money.

HASH(0x9505ce94) von 5 Sternen good read 4. März 2014
Von Mer - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com

Before I bought this book I got the sample first. The sample was enough to keep me interested so I purchased it and even if the whole story scenario as one might say "not believable" I had greatly welcomed the story as a whole for being a light read. What I have noticed in this book is that there are no antagonist, just antagonistic events which surprisingly was enough to keep the story going. It's like watching a sitcom and all the characters just grows on you because they are all just likable. I finished reading this in one sitting, the flow of writing is that good. The reason I didn't give this a 5 star is because in some coversations by the characters, it seemed like the descendants of the family that Grace Falls was named after were gonna be introduced but they weren't. I honestly thought they were going to be the antagonist/s in the story but for some reason they never appeared. I mean why mention them and not really give conclusion as to what is their part in the story? It was mentioned that there "was a time when you couldn't so much as fart without the grace family having an opinion on it" but why? That was never really explained and the deal between the character who said it and the Grace family. So really, what's the deal between the Grace family and the story other than that moment that never happened between Alex and Charlotte? Anyway that is just what bothered me a little. I still like the story and would recommend this book. =)

HASH(0x950611a4) von 5 Sternen Crazymaking... 7. März 2014
Von Lexi - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com

Because of the rave reviews, I bought this book expecting it to be the great read it was tauted to be. However, I felt a little crazy when instead, I found a simplistic, albeit sweet, little story about an MD who, unbelievably in one week, falls so deeply in love with a coffee shop owner that she is willing to completely change her career and her life...talk about the proverbial u-haul story. This book needs some serious and I mean serious editing. Sentences were elementary and herky-jerky with too many extra words, missing words and misuse of words such as "their" for "they're." And, I found it especially frustrating when new character names appeared apparently out of nowhere and I had to struggle to figure out where they came from. Overall, I consider myself a pretty forgiving reader, but I honestly could not recommend this book to anyone. I hope the author will find herself a really good editor before she publishes again.

HASH(0x95061204) von 5 Sternen Lovely read for a ring afternoon 28. Juli 2014

Grace Falls is a funny little book that I was not sure if I'd like, but the more you read the more it draws you in. I love the small town community feel of the book, and the little deception I could almost see happening, although the reality of the outcome of it was a bit far fetched but made for a good story. Anyway, a story should be that - a little bit fun, a little bit far fetched, totally engrossing and easy to read. For those that love miscommunication, fallout & angst you'll be very happy. Honest, nothing too complicated in this book but a lovely read for a rainy afternoon.
