Kurzbeschreibung

This award-winning beginners book explaining commodities is written in layman's language with lots of details and touches of wit to keep you awake. It must be doing something right as copies of the hard cover book have sold thousands throughout the world. If you are curious about commodity futures and do not want to see a sale pitch, then dig into this and have fun learning some new things.

Der Verlag über das Buch

..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ....Curious about commodities?

If you're looking for a good book with an overview of futures, this one works.

FUTURES 101 tells how money is made and lost in today's fast-paced futures market and does so in an interesting style - part commentary, part verse, snippets rather than long chapters. And it does not try to sell you something or promise the moon.

This is all about commodity futures trading, a financial arena bigger than the stock market but still relatively unknown or understood.

Profits, pitfalls and dozens of subjects are covered in detail. Some examples even have sprinkles of trivia and smiles for clarity and to keep the reader awake.

Ordinary investors, professional investors, corporations, municipalities, and many pension funds make and lose money every day in the trillion-dollar futures business. FUTURES 101 explains how they do it.

An interesting side chapter analyzes the $104,926.00 profit made by Hillary Clinton many years before Bill Clinton was elected president. (A non-political and impartial look at the details of her trading finds she did nothing wrong.)

Readers of FUTURES 101 are in four groups: new traders, potential traders, college students, and people who are just financially curious.

This is not a typical book on futures, partly because the writing style is for folks who have a sense of humor and like conversational reading.

FUTURES 101 is also used in private seminars, sales training, and college courses.

Order a copy today to learn more about this dynamic big money game, or to fill in some knowledge gaps you may have.

This book should have a subtitle: "Everything you wanted to know about futures but were afraid to ask". I received the book around noon, finished up work around five, and the book around ten that night. A delightful work that refreshed my understanding of the whys and wherefores of the futures markets. Written in a witty, wry style, it kept my interest all the way through. Truly broke down and explained in reasonable -- often humerous -- terms a number of mysteries that had never been satisfactorily answered in several other books I've read on the subject. In publishing parlance, a real page-turner.

This book is for those who know nothing or virtually nothing about commodity futures. If you already know even a little about commodity futures, this book is not for you. It is just a foundation. You will not be ready to trade commodity futures after you read this book (and the author does not pretend that you will be), but you will be ready to go on to more in-depth research. The book is light, quick reading.

A great book to start out with. The first few chapters were a bit basic, however the meat of the book is in the middle chapters. It offers great unbiased, factual information. While this book alone is not strong enough to start trading on, it lays the perfect foundation to build from. Definately recommeded for the beginning trader/speculator.

Covers all the basics with wit and without excess jargon. The author neither encourages or discourages trading in Futures and doesn't have a "system" to sell. A must-read for the novice investor contemplating Futures. Also has an excellent and unbiased review of Hillary Clinton's success in trading commodities.
