This is a Revoltech which is basically an action figure. It's actually a lot more articulated than your typical action figure though. It has interchangeable parts as well. My favorite thing is how easy it is to change out her faces. She's pretty nicely detailed. Check out my video.
She's kind of fragile in that her arms and stuff will fall off when trying to pose her. But it's OK since you can just reattach them. I like her overall and can recommend a purchase if you dig Queens Blade and can get her for a fair price.
The possibilities of changing the figures stand and/or pose is almost endless.
Mostly you can make lots of battle scenarios on display and it makes it for a very beautiful and enjoyable one.
I chose the rating five stars, for the purpose stated above. Not only that, but I'd like t add that the packaging is also great!
What I like mostly, is the design itself, the uses it can offer, coloring on the figure, size and the details.
If you're a fan of Queen's Blade and you love this elf's beauty and skills. Then this is the right figure for you!
Personally, it has made me very happy and I enjoy displaying it. So, I totally recommend it!
Overall, one of the best female action figures I've ever got.
This figure is definitely not meant for children. Small parts can be a choking hazard, but its also displays full nudity. Thats right, top and bottom, so this is one to keep out of the reach of children. Technically its for "Mature" audiences (and I made the finger quotes in the air w/ my fingers there). The figure comes from the strangely popular queen's blade series. Which is basically pure fan service very very light on plot and chock full of topless women. Although i find it strange that because its an ecchi anime that never (well i only watched 3 episodes so i don't really know) showed full frontal nudity, I was quite surprised that the figures have sculpted and painted nether regions. O.o Shes also a little delicate, so rough play is out of the question. Some play is fine and this particular figure is a bit tougher than similar products. Ok lets get this review started~
Lets start with accessories, Alleyne comes with a total of 5 hands, 2 for holding her spear, an open palm left hand and a hand holding 2 cherries; two tops (normal and battle damaged version both made of soft Pvc), two skirts (normal and battle damaged also made of soft Pvc which is excellent, they can bend and move and just look/feel great), only 2 faces (a little disappointed there) her large staff/spear thing, removable leaf panties, A hat that is connected onto a joint (which makes for some great "hat blowing away in the wind esque poses) and a very nice cape. The cape is split into 3 main parts, theres the collar and neck piece, and two seperate parts of the cape that are on revoltech joints that connect into her back. Which means they are removable anytime. The two larger sections of the cape also have a joint on the end of each, letting you bend rotate the lower part of the cloak for even more dynamic poses. Comparing these accessories to my other queen's blade figure Menace (which i reviewed the other day) Her accessories are better, more of them and of a nicer quality in my opinion. Although Menace's character is known for wearing next to nothing, so its only appropriate i guess.
I really like the hat because it covers the joint in the hair that allows quick face swapping. its removable as well, which is great, Alleyne looks great w/ or w/o the hat. Unlike Menace (this is my opinion at least) Who just doesnt feel like her w/o her crown, just reminds me of Nadia: secret of blue water hehe.
Her armor is also very nicely crafted, its a mix of a brighter green and a forest green, and goes together very well w/ the red of the cape and hat. And in my opinion the way they molded the armor and cape are just perfect. Much better than most figures of similar price. Alleynes hair also comes on 2 Joints for posing, another great aspect which doesn't interfere with the stand much, but i'll get to the stand in my gripes section.
Alleynes body is a bit sturdier than Menace's (the only queens blade revoltech figure i have atm to compare, more on the way~ look forward to those reviews soon heh shameless plug) Her body is split into 2 main parts, upper body (Arms, neck, bust) and lower torso (abdomen, buttocks, leg sockets). Which are connected w/ a revoltech joint for some more articulation. Now this looks good, even w/o armor things seem more unified and complete. Menace on the other hand comes in 3 parts. she has more articulation in the waist because of this than Alleyne does. which makes for much more interesting poses, and contortions >_>; but then again, Menace is a voluptuous babe who can be seen doing some pretty lewd thing, and Alleyne is a bit more reserved. She wears armor so shes probably disciplined like a soldier or something. Some poses work more for some characters. (that was an assumption of their personalities, ive never seen the whole anime nor do i plan to). Also since shes covered in armor, the revoltech joints are hidden for the most part, which just makes her look soooo much better.
Now Alleynes faces are well sculpted, the ears are very well done too, thin but strong, you probably wont break them off if you use them to pull the face of to change them. However she only has 2 faces, which is a bit of a downer. Shes got her normal almost emotionless face, and shes got her hurt/embarrassed face. both are both very beautifully done, the embarrassed face has a bit of blush on it as well. and we all know their not really "hurt" faces...come on people >_> but whatever.
Only 2 made me a bit sad, Menace came with 4 faces. More variety of expressions makes poses have a different feel.
Well that was quite a list of things i liked, now onto the bad~
The stand... I understand each figure in the series comes w/ the exact same stand. But it really doesn't fit her. The hole to plug in the stand is above her butt, and since shes pretty short that means the stand has to be bent really low if u dont want her floating in the air. Another thing, because of the weight of all her accessories, keeping her in Mid air is rather difficult. Shes technically Thinner and weighs less than Menace, but her clothes, armor, Cape, hat all add so much weight the stand cant keep her up for too long. And if u add her spear thing, she wont stay off the ground. Which isn't a bad thing so much, but i'd like to see custom stands for each figure. Some characters are much bigger and heavier than the others (Cattleya for example, her review will be out soon).
This next gripe may only be for my particular figure, but the revoltech joints on 1 part of the cape are extremely weak, feels like its going to snap, so i had to be extra careful when putting it in or taking it off. And since the cape has to connect into her back it leaves 2 holes in her back if u pose her w/o it. However her hair tends to over shadow the holes so its not a big deal. Also her panties are made of such a thin stand of plastic it seems that mine was nearly broken in the box. I was able to take them off and put them on, but if i make 1 wrong move their going to break. I may need to strengthen them w/ a little clear glue. And as usual the orange box to store stuff can't fit 1/2 of her stuff. Unless i wear the big top and big skirt i cant close the lid.
Thats about it...Theres not much i dont like about this figure. Other than I saw the animated version of her on the box..and the figure just feels like..a 12 yr old version of her. Seriously, go google her, she doesn't really look like the character. Which is my only real gripe i guess, the others aren't as important as this. When changing her clothes i feel dirty -.- she looks kinda like a 12 yr old...so yeah Thats all for now, look forward to my next review =) whoever...actually reads these XD.
The weird thing is by designing the figure to support the nudity and naughty bits Kaiyodo really did make a superb figure. The core figure is standard action figure hard plastic with typical Revoltech joints. But all of the clothing is thin carefully sculpted rubber, which gives the figure a truly nice layered 3 dimensional look. It all works, and looks fantastic on the shelf when posed... with clothing on. Just pray no one who sees it realizes what it is packing underneath.
Accessories include torn and breast exposing clothing and a part designed for pervy upskirt poses (I so wish I was kidding about this) several extra hands and an extra "eyes closed mouth open" face that is deeply disturbing. I'm embarrassed to admit that I am unsure if I love this thing for its detail and how cool it looks clothed or terrified of it for all the truly disturbing and creepy stuff that is a part of it. I think just ordering this thing probably put me on an FBI watch list somewhere. At least the character looks to be of legal age, so there is that.
