Praise for "The Family Office Book"

"Packed with information about what high-net-worth individuals want, need, and get from professional money managers. Richard Wilson pulls back the curtain on the almost mystical world of the super-wealthy. For investors who want to learn what the rich expect from the stewards of their money--and for anyone interested in getting into the family office business. Expert interviews serve up details about what makes the family office an important element of the global investment community--and what the future family office will look like." --Pimm Fox, Bloomberg TV and radio anchor, "Taking Stock with Pimm Fox"

"Richard Wilson works with family offices and ultra-wealthy clients on a day-to-day basis. "The Family Office Book" provides a unique perspective into exactly how those with $20M, $100M, or $1B are using family office wealth management vehicles to manage their capital." --Russ Alan Prince, President, Prince & Associates, Inc.

""The Family Office Book" is unique as the most comprehensive study of the family office world. It provides important perspective to families, family office management, and clients of family offices. A must-read." --Charles B. Grace Jr., Director, Threshold Group; founder, Ashbridge Investment Management; and grandson of the former president of Bethlehem Steel Company

"Anyone who wants to be in the family office space needs to read this book. It has countless bits of valuable advice. It will be required reading for everyone that joins my family office team." --Noah B. Rosenfarb, CPA, ABV, PFS, Managing Director, Freedom Wealth Advisors

""The Family Office Book" is one of the few books covering the subject matter with a global scope. The real-life interviews with leading family offices from all over the world are amazing and a terrific testament to the superb network Richard has within this taciturn industry. The book is a treasure chest of insight and a one-of-a-kind resource for anybody who is regularly working together with family offices or high-net-worth individuals in general anywhere in the world." --Michael Hartmann, Esq., LLM, private banking lawyer

HASH(0x9ac19b4c) von 5 Sternen Nothing more than promotional material for author 20. August 2012
Von SteffyC - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Gebundene Ausgabe
This book contains nothing new or helpful to anyone working in the family office - and poorly written to boot. Only a rank amateur would buy this. Many many better sources of information out there. It is required reading for the author's "qualified family office professional" class, which is rather self serving. The other rave reviews here are odd, as someone else points out, given that the book has just been released less than a month ago. Save your money.

HASH(0x9ab49f24) von 5 Sternen Interesting! 2. August 2012

OK, so here we have a number of 5* reviews, which on the face of it appears to be in favour of the book. With that said, a bit of further "Investigation", each of the reviews are from people who havenever reviewed a book on Amazon before, well, all except one, who reviewed a book in Dec 2010, although that was by he same author Richard C Wilson ...

Anyone who knows anything about the Hedge Fund community would pick this up instantly, seeing as due diligence is an intergral part of the process for investing in Hedge Funds. I find it cheap and misleading that anyone, just like me (to prove my point) can write a review on a book, meaning that potential customers can very easily be misled.

I was directed here from yet another Spam email offering me free consultation if I buy 60 books. I've been in the Hedge Fund industry for the vast majority of my life, and I for one know that what is contained in here is nothing more than what is available free, if you already didnt know it!... across the internet.

My view, go ahead an buy, but dont say I didnt tell you so!.

Have I bought the book? No ... Why? ... Go and do a bit of digging and you will soon realise.

Should you buy the book? ... thats your decison!... but a host of 5* reviews makes me think, especially when they are all first timers, apart from one ... who has reviewed another book by the same author who they also gave 5*'s ...

Be interesting to see how long this review stays up for.

HASH(0x9ab494ec) von 5 Sternen Poorly written and rambling. 12. August 2012
Von Michael L. Jones - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Gebundene Ausgabe Verifizierter Kauf
I bought this book with great hope that it would provide detailed insight on how Family Offices work. What I found, after two chapters in, was a lot or repetition and superficial commentary. I don't have time to waste to read excerpts from interviews that provide no substance. I am sending it back for a refund!

HASH(0x9ab5712c) von 5 Sternen biased review 2. August 2012
Von unco - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com

The book is apparently only out on kindle for a couple of days and has already lots of 5 stars reviews... far too dodgy to be honest. Like the previous 1 star reviewer, I got spam from the author on a linkedin group.
People who haven't bought the book via amazon shouldn't be able to review it.

HASH(0x9ab572c4) von 5 Sternen Well researched book 12. März 2014
Von Silas Poel - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Gebundene Ausgabe
I bought this book and I really like it. I'm working in the Family Office Industry and found it really interesting, especially the interviews includes a lot of valuable thoughts how they operate and what there tips are. So the book isn't based solely on Richards opinion. Well done Richard you did your homework.
