My guilty pleasure
am 5. Februar 2013
I have to admit Abbi Glines books are my guilty pleasure. And Fallen too far fits right into with the other Abbi Glines books I read, if I think about the books rationally I can find hundreds of faults, but in spite of all this I still enjoy her books.
In Fallen too far, we get Blaire, our stereotypical heroine: shes a poor, sweet, little virgin who has been through soooo much already and now she has to deal with this super, super, super bad boy, Rush, whose badness seems to be defined in being a man-whore. Oh and he's super-rich and super-good looking. Duh.
After her mothers death, Blaire comes to Florida to live with her Dad and try to get back on her feet, but instead of her Dad she meets Rush, her father's new Step-son. After a few short chapters, Rush and Blaire have problems keeping their hands off each other and suddenly Rush develops a conscienes and tries to protect "sweet Blaire" from his "super-badness".
Throw in some family issues, a deep, dark and schocking family secret, that makes a overly dramatic ending, and voila, you've got Fallen too far.
So why did I enjoy this book so much? I can't really say, but it's one of the books you just curl up on the couch on a rainy Sunday with. And in my opinion Blaire and Rush do have a sizzling chemistry and I just loved the love-scenes, which are seriously hot.
So if you are looking for a book with real depth you should look elsewhere, if you enjoyed any other of Abbi Glines books you will probably like this one too.
A Warning: this is the first part of a two-book-series, so don't be surprised when the book ends at its peak. The second part Never too far comes out the end of February.
So even though for most parts of the book the story-line and the characters are lacking some, I still coudn't put the book down, so I give it 4 Stars.
