The highly anticipated conclusion to the No Regrets series...

Every Second With You = Sex. Love. Addiction. Heartache. Pain. And Hope.
I used to think love was a lie. Now I know it’s real, powerful, and I don’t want to lose it…But my future scares me, and there’s no way this can be happening, especially since I’ve finally broken free from all the people who wanted pieces of me. I don’t even know how to start over, but I have to find a way. So when I discover what my mother’s been keeping from me, it doesn’t make me hate her. It gives me hope for a new life, outside of New York. But the ties that bind me to this city are so strong, sometimes they are chains. If only I could leave with…

I will do anything for her. She owns me, heart, mind and body. But when Harley tells me this, I am rocked to the core, and terrified of what happens next. Especially when this time it’s not her past that chases me, it’s someone from my own. And that someone is messing with my head when I’m trying to be strong for Harley. But all I really want is to escape with the girl I love…For the rest of our lives.
How can you move forward when the past keeps chasing you?
In the sequel to the bestselling THE THRILL OF IT, Harley and Trey face new challenges that will make battling blackmail, sex addiction, and a virgin call girl past look easy…

This book sucked me in right away. Wow! What an amazing read. Usually the sequels are not as good as the first books of a series. Not here. Lauren Blakely did a fantastic job with this final installment.

“Every Second With You” is more than just a soppy romance novel. There was so much going on with Harley and Trey, as their exceptional relationship deepens and their love for each other grows. I don't want to spoil anything, but let me tell you, I was surprised more than once. There was a certain situation, where I just thought, I will hate the author for changing the plot in a particular way. I am absolutely sure, I couldn't have handled that. And the solution for it made me adore her even more. I felt truly everything while reading this story – not only love, but also anger, hate, fear and especially hope, because without the latter I couldn't have made it through the end. And let's not forget the extraordinary passion between the two lead characters.

If you liked “The Thrill of It”, you have to read this one. You won't be disappointed!

HASH(0x89e3eaec) von 5 Sternen Wonderful conclusion to a fantastic series 12. Februar 2014

This was a wonderful conclusion to Harley and Trey's story. Every Second with You was such a perfect blend of drama, romance, and steam that left me extremely happy and satisfied. Although I have always loved Trey, he had some moments in the first third of the book where I wanted to smack him and tell him to get it together. I completely understood why he was so scared, but Harley deserved much better than the way he was acting. Fortunately he got his head on straight as the book progressed, and his actions and words made up for his earlier behavior. The sweet things he did like always hold Harley's hand or tell her she was beautiful made me melt.

Harley was the rockstar of this book. She was so strong through everything. Even when Trey was having doubts she held on and kept moving forward. I loved how she spoke up for herself with both Trey and her mother, and I was so happy with the direction things went with her family. She was very deserving of a life of love and happiness. Honestly, they both were, and it was amazing to look back and see how far they've come since the moment Harley walked into No Regrets. They have a rare kind of love that wasn't always easy, yet it was always beautiful. Some scenes with them were tender and others were hot, but the love between them was the constant.

There was a moment around the halfway point in the book where I completely freaked out. I'm sure most readers put two and two together and figured out what Blakely wanted you to think. My mind was racing trying to figure out if it was possible and what it would mean for Harley and Trey. As much as I disliked that situation, I loved that I was so emotionally invested in these characters that I had to calm myself down to keep reading. There were definitely a few times while reading that I cried, both happy and sad tears.

At times I never wanted the story to end, but at the same I'm not sure I could handle Harley and Trey going through anything else. I really loved how Blakely wrapped everything up in a way that was satisfying yet true to the characters and nature of the story. The relationships/situations with Cam, Harley's mom and grandparents, Trey's parents, and Miranda were all addressed perfectly. I loved every minute of Harley and Trey's journey, the good and bad, and I would highly recommend this series to anyone. Although I have enjoyed all of Blakely's books, the No Regrets series really is her best to date for me.(less)

HASH(0x89e3ed38) von 5 Sternen Amazing ending for Harley and Trey... 4. November 2014

4 “Hope” “cherry blossom tree” Kisses

I was so excited to get my hands on the conclusion of Trey and Harley’s story. I absolutely adored them in The Thrill of It …they pulled me in with all the angst and sexual tension and emotion…I couldn’t get enough. Plus that ending – hello! If you have no idea what I am talking about…then we have a problem…Every Second with You is the sequel to The Thrill of It…and these books must be read in order.

Harley…oh Harley…so much wiser than her age…it’s hard for me to think that she’s only 20 – it just seems to young because she doesn’t act like a 20 year old. At all. She’s been through a lot. A call girl who doesn’t have sex with a pimp that is more like father to her and a mother who is more concerned with her boyfriends than the emotional well-being of her daughter. Oh and let’s not forget being blackmailed by an evil twat with a grudge (not that she didn’t have reasons to be angry, I just think the anger is a little misdirected and a tad over the top!). I think anyone dealing with that bucket of fun wouldn’t mature real quick! Harley was the first one to piss me off in the book…in the beginning I struggled with Harley’s decisions because I didn’t agree with them and I understood her logic…that didn’t mean I had to like it! Luckily…she got over that pretty quickly and truly showed me how awesome she is. She has clearly been through a lot and things don’t just become a walk in the park because she has Trey by her side, as much as I wish that for her. Harley is my tough little soldier…she’s got this protective shell that she has built up to save her from the harsh reality of her life – the fact that she really hasn’t had a family or anyone to love her and treat her like she deserves. Until Trey.

‘I want to cry, I want to sob, I want to hold him close and never let him go. I wam in heaven with him, and I have one foot in the hell of my own fear, so I need to lose myself in sex, in love, in connection. Maybe this is the druggie in me, the junkie that doesn’t know how to deal without her fix.’

Trey Westin you get me every time. He’s so not what you would expect…behind this tough tatt’d bad boy image with a scar that holds his troubled past…is this huge heart, this warm, caring and affectionate guy that would give anything and everything to protect those he loves. It’s so endearing…I test anyone not to fall in love with him. It’s funny because what I think is Trey’s strongest feature is what he hid for so long – his ability to feel was repressed and he chose to hide behind sex, ignoring his desire to love…and it got him nowhere. Well…it got him somewhere but that somewhere was a permanent mark to remind him of every mistake he had ever made. So...Harley might have been the first out of the two of them to piss me off…but Trey just about made me scream when he almost did what I thought he was going to do (if that makes any sense, but I’m being intentionally vague to not give anything away!). I’m serious…I had to put down my Kindle, I was that angry. But…his reaction to not doing what I thought he was going to do…totally made me fist pump because…it shows how much he has changed. He had the opportunity to run back to his old patterns, to give up on all the progress he made…ruin everything he built with Harley…and he didn’t. Yay for growth!!!

‘I shake my head. “I don’t want to talk. I just want you.” I fall into her again, the press of her body some kind of balm for my fearful heart. Because it’s working. It’s f^@%!#$ working. The feel of her is an anesthetic. “I love you,” I murmur in her ear, as much to remind myself as to get her in the state I need her in. Because I wante her blissed out, drunk from sex, too. We can et wasted together. “I love you so f^@%!#$ much,” I say, and she moans softly from the words. I know her, I know this girl. She loves hearing it, she can’t get enough of it, and it turns her on to no end.
“I love you too,” she says, roping her arms around my neck, and he voice is so honest, so pure, that it nearly jolts me from the haze that’s coating my brain.’

I think that was what I appreciated the most from this book…all the growth I saw in Harley and Trey. Obviously…they have come through a lot…I get that, believe me…I was right there with them, imagining myself holding their hands…but up until about 20-30% on ESwY, I was ready to drop kick both of them. I already said it, they were completely pissing me off and I really wanted to just shake them and say ‘Ummm….excuse me?!?!!? I didn’t just suffer through TToI for both of you to mess it up! It’s not happening!’ Yes…I was tempted to throw my kindle…I internally screamed…it was a rough period of time. They were both making crazy decisions that I didn’t think fit with what they had been through and how far they had come. Granted, the baby is a huge stressor for both of them and it’s easy to fall back into old patterns. But, thank God…then the clouds parted and my glorious little duo made me so proud. So…was all that anguish worth it? The bitter part of me wants to say no…but honestly? Yeah…it was. It made me value what they had…and it needed to happen…it really drove home how much they have changed and matured. It wouldn’t have been Harley and Trey if there wasn’t a little ‘ugly beautiful’ to get through…its part of what makes them…them. With everything they went through, they were the ones who needed to figure their stuff out and come to terms with their pasts so that they could live a happy, healthy life together. It’s true to who they are and it made me appreciate what they had that much more.

‘“Did that work?” I ask into the quiet night.
“Um, yeah. Couldn’t you tell?”
I shake my head. “That’s not what I meant. I meant, did I show you love?”
“Yes. You and me, this is what love is.”
We learned it together.’

I have to say ESwY was a very complete way to end Trey and Harley’s story. On top of the baby aspect, there were a lot of issues that needed to be resolved…least of all were Trey’s parents & Harley’s mom. I was hopeful on both fronts…because you never want to truly believe that a parent would give up on their child the way that their parents gave up on them…and I don’t even know if ‘gave up’ is the right term for what they did but it’s the best generalization I can give. Trey’s parents…surprised me, in a good way. I understand their pain but at the same time I feel their pain kept them from bonding with the son they did have…which is sad. Barb is just a whole other beast – she proved me right…she is in fact a complete waste of a human being. Very sad. But I did like the development with Harley’s family that I didn’t see coming…it was a little bit of a welcomed curveball but it was cute and I liked what it added to the story. And don’t worry…that wasn’t the only curve ball…oh, there were plenty – and I won’t spoil them but boy did Lauren Blakely give me heart palpitations with some of them. Yeah…like the one at 90-something% when I was thinking there was no way she was really going to make me cry that late in the book – but yeah…she totally did.

‘That’s what she’s been teaching me, in her own quiet way. To live each day, to embrace it, to seize the moment, because that’s all we ever have.
Moments. With each other. Without regret.’

ESwY was definitely an emotional rollercoaster that kept me on my toes…I didn’t know what I was expecting, but I can definitely say I was pleasantly surprised. Harley and Trey’s beautiful story of overcoming their pasts, learning to thrive in love and their unending passion is one I won’t soon forget.

"Because it was mad love, crazy love, insane love. Because it was hard love, good love, true love. Because it was the real thing, and a love like that can't be stopped. A love like that is inevitable."…Harley

What a roller coaster of emotion!!! I thought this was a wonderful conclusion for Trey and Harley's story. This story truly shows that if you have Love, Hope and Faith, you can get through anything as long as you stick together. The love story that Trey and Harley share was full of it's ups and downs, but I loved every minute of it. I can't even truly express what a great series this has been. I am almost sorry to see it come to an end, but I loved that Trey and Harley's story was brought full circle.

This book starts up right where we end book 1… The Thrill of It. I can't really tell you what that is because book 1 ends kind of on a cliffhanger. Just know that there is no time loss from book 1 to book 2. This book really pushed Trey and Harley to the limits. Both of them ended up having to deal with things from their past. I loved that even though Trey slips briefly back into that dark place, he realizes he doesn't need to escape or cope like that anymore and turns to Harley and they work things out together.

"We all have to cope in different ways. Trey and I learned to cope in our own ways growing up. Then we learned to heal, both alone and together, in our time. Our bodies, our hearts, our minds."….Harley

This series is truly all about coping and trying to become a better person. Both Trey and Harley were broken souls and needed to learn how to cope in healthier ways. I loved their journey, both separately and together. This book/series has had my emotions all over the place. I laughed at times, I smiled, I of course got pissed, my panties melted a time or two (maybe even more ;) ) and I fell in love. Trey and Harley will forever live in my heart and mind.

I know that this review is short, but I can't really go into much of the storyline because it would spoil both this story and book 1. All I can say is that I would definitely recommend this book/series to everyone. If you are looking for a unique story then you need to read Trey and Harley's story. I will say that I was so glad that the things I was left wondering about from book 1 were all answered and resolved in this book. This was probably one of the best series finale books I have read. I had a hard time putting it down. I was truly sad to see it end.

"Life is strong, and life is fragile. It is beauty, and it is pain."….Trey

I loved this story of living life with no regrets. Every Second With You started right where The Thrill of It ended... Harley is pregnant and scared. One of my favorite things about this series is that it didn't follow the traditional he screws up and pisses her off or vice versa. When something goes wrong or they suspect something is wrong they are very direct and just ask. Many of the miss-communications which tear people apart could have happen here, but our hero and heroine are strong and are living life with no regrets so they do not let things fester, they just ask like: You didn't cheat on me did you? and You didn't go back to him did you? I think you will enjoy this follow-up, be prepared it will have you crying... but other times you will laugh and love along with Harley and Trey. And now a bit about the story...

Harley is very worried about telling Trey he is pregnant. Not because of them, but because of the 3 brothers he lost. She is worried he will fear the loss hitting him again. So she pretends to have a headache on her birthday as to not spoil the special day for him. After a few days he knows something is up. And as he is about to ask her to move in with him, she blurts out she is pregnant. The short lives of his brothers flash before him and his fear is instant. At the same time Trey is battling his fears, Harley's mom is trying to get back into her life, which isn't going to happen. However while she is there faxing a last minute college form she finds a birthday card from her grandparents hidden away. Curiosity gets the better of her and she sneaks back to her moms house to try and find more cards. I hope you enjoy this roller coaster of emotions with Trey and Harley - I sure did!

Favorite Passages:
- I don’t want my present running into my past.
- “I don’t have a clue what we’re supposed to do next.”
- “All I know is, I f***ing love you, and I’ll do whatever you need.”
- There’s only one thing that can that can erase uncertainty, that can take away pain, and it’s calling to me in its siren song that blots out the sounds and noises of old New York.
- “You’re you, and you are everything in the world to me. Every. Single. Thing.”
- “We’ve all made mistakes. We’ve all done things we wish we hadn’t. The goal is to learn, and to move on and try to live a life of no regrets.

HASH(0x89e4206c) von 5 Sternen Into the Night Reviews ... Every Second With You by Lauren Blakeley 28. Februar 2014
Von Tami-Into the Night Reviews - Veröffentlicht auf
Format: Kindle Edition
Every Second With You is the follow up to The Thrill of It and it provides a wonderful conclusion to Harley and Trey's story. I was a little disappointed with the ending to The Thrill of It as I felt like I was just given a teaser to Harley and Trey's future and then the story stopped. Having now finished Every Second With You I just loved where the story went.

Every Second With You presents a number of significant challenges for Harley and Trey. Having successfully worked through the early stages of rehabilitation from their addictions I really wanted them to have less drama and get the opportunity to enjoy the love growing between them, but that definitely wasn't the case. I don't want to disclose any of the story line as I always try not to write spoiler reviews - so all I will say is their commitment to each other and their recovery was absolutely tested. I loved the way their characters grew and how they dealt with their challenges. Blakely has created two gorgeous characters in Harley and Trey - I absolutely fell in love with both of them, not because of physical characteristics but because of their courage, their integrity and their belief in love.

If you've read The Thrill of It I don't think there is any question as to whether you should (or will) read Every Second With You. It is beautifully written. Blakely evoked such a wide range of emotions in me, but most importantly, had me invested in Harley and Trey. I felt their pain, their fear and their happiness throughout the story. I desperately wanted them to catch a break and cheered when things seemed to be falling into place for them. For two people so young and inexperienced in love they absolutely understood the work required to make it succeed and the value of what they had found with each other.

"Because it was mad love, crazy love, insane love. Because it was hard love, good love, true love. Because it was the real thing, and a love like that can't be stopped. A love like that is inevitable"

And this time, I was absolutely satisfied with the ending ;)
