I looked into freezer meals but almost everything that I've come across was a crock-pot recipes that looked like the same meal over and over again. Cut veggies, add meat and add a cream of this or that. We like to try different foods and after seeing a sea of recipes that require crockpot and creams of ... almost made me give up hope that I can save time with freezer meals. That is until I came across a review of this book on Pintrest. You will find here teriyaki recipes, an AMAZING chicken pot pie as well picante turkey pie to name a few. The recipes are super easy and quick to make and the authors give you measurements for single and multiple servings so your favorite recipes you can make few servings of at the same time. I cannot express how much I LOVE THIS BOOK and how happy I am that I came across it.
I do have one complication, however, and that is I am gluten free, being off wheat for 3 years now, so I had to go through the recipes and mark the "GF" recipes and put a big "X" on all the other pages. I found quite a few chicken, fish, beef, and pork recipes, and lots of desserts that I could take advantage of. Now I have the confidence that all my recipes in the freezer are okay for me without having to check all ingredients again. The authors have done a great job of laying out this project, and the directions are simple to understand. I can even take a meal to church to share, give a dinner to an elderly friend or a new mom.
The book does have one disadvantage that is a shame, but is minor. And, that is, there are no pictures of the recipes to show you if you are doing it right. I miss a nice picture to show me I've done everything right, however, I am getting over that because the book itself is so great. I highly recommend it.
