The first version of this book was created when I was hired by the Panamericana Lodge #513 to perform at their annual fundraiser. Due to an hour of time limitation, and some teens in the audience, I edited some of the lyrics and told the stories of these relationships in a humorous manner that didn't offend anyone. Got quite a few giggles from the girls and wives though.
It was surprising to me, to realize how incredible and inspiring my love life has been. I chose songs from each of the last four decades and attempted to represent all my "significant others" as best possible. Ironically, I just turned 58 this week and look forward to another four decades of sex, love, lust, romance, and the time I will share with them. I especially like snuggling at night, holding hands, kissing and looking across the table into the eyes of someone I adore.
Plus, my future loves will certainly inspire some more wonderful music from within. This book represents the half-way point of my love life. The stories and lyrical journeys are inspiring to me and I hope you'll find them inspiring also. We live and learn. We love and learn. Let's keep on learning and loving!
For this book, 4 Decades of Love, I INVENTED this new system of putting the CHORDS ABOVE LYRICS WITH UNDERSCORES. This holds the chords in place better as you change screen or font sizes. Check it out. Everyone will be copying this new lyric and chord writing technique.... and using this system... "The Coyote System." Hey, sounds like a rock band name. Hmmm. I've been performing solo the past few years. Due to a lack of space, "The Hippy Coyote performing live," got reduced to, "THC Live." Fans liked the new band name. We'll see.
