Richard Phillips was born in Roswell, New Mexico. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a bachelor’s degree in engineering. He served in the US Army for over a decade, working on projects like the development of military simulation software. He received a master’s degree in physics from the Naval Postgraduate School and completed his thesis work at Los Alamos National Laboratory. After that, he served as a research officer at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory before completing his service with the army. His military and technological background sparked his passion for powerful science fiction storytelling with a futuristic flair. Today, he resides in Phoenix with his wife.

Richard Phillips is the bestselling author of several science fiction and fantasy series, including The Rho Agenda Inception, The Rho Agenda, The Rho Agenda Assimilation, and The Endarian Prophecy. The release date for his newest Rho Agenda novel, The Ripper’s Son, is May 2025. Richard was born in Roswell, New Mexico, in 1956, and graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1979. He qualified as a US Army Ranger and served as an officer in the army. Richard earned a master’s degree in physics from the Naval Postgraduate School in 1989, completing his thesis work at Los Alamos National Laboratory. After working as a research associate at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, he returned to the army, serving in Germany, Saudi Arabia, and the United States. Upon his military retirement, Richard was a project manager and senior software developer at General Electric, Hughes Aircraft, Lockheed Martin Space Operations, and General Dynamics, retiring in 2013 to write full-time. Richard lives with Carol, his lovely wife of 44 years, in Phoenix, Arizona.

    Now I am really curious what that blasted Sun staff can do and have to wait till the next book. And this is not a spoiler since that story line is already mentioned in the ads for the third book. So, to this book I would like to say that is has a very interesting story and of course we would like to know how Jack and Janets tale went before the two ships appeared in the later time. I liked this book better than the first because of the mystery around the Incan Sun staff which for me at least, much more interesting than the Baikonur plot. However our two main protagonists are as close to unbeatable as you can get which is very entertaining it you like such stories,which I do. The storyline at NSA headquarters with all that computer stuff is very well developed, too.

    Like the fast pace of the book. It is a little bit James Bond like, since he is very powerful, has unlimited resources and a pretty girl by his side. Good light entertainment.

    There is something which develops through all three books.
    Each book has its own story, but you really should read them in order.
    The stories in the books are really different, not as in many series, where each book is the same again. (Which sometimes is what you like)

    The protagonist(s) is (are) working for the NSA (USA), at least... kind of.
    The main story in each book is always towards something big and interesting.

    There is a lot of action. And the action is good to read. The rest is good to read too.

    This is not a "have to" read, but I read all three books in one go.

    Another great Jack Gregory read.

    This one starts with Tupic Inti.

    Inti is a giant of a man. He graduated from West Point so he's far from an uneducated man and stupid he ain't.

    Inti is also a shaman for the Quechua tribe. He's also the bearer of the info on the Sun Staff. A mystical part of Inca history.

    Tupic is currently in Palmasota Prison. He was arrested on trumped up charges and has been held with no trial and is waiting to see what will happen next.

    The sun staff was last held by Pizzaro five hundred years ago. Pizzaro sent the golden orb, the top of the staff, to his master, the King of Spain and he kept the silver staff or bottom partfor himself.

    Both the orb and the staff must be put together for the staff to do what it was meant to do. What that is Altman knows will change the course of the world.

    Conrad Altman, the bastard son of Klaus Barbie the Butcher of Lyon, wants Inti for the information he has on the Sun Staff.

    Altman knows Inti knows the location of the staff and he, Altman, has the orb part of the Sun Staff. Altman will do whatever it takes to get that info from Inti. To get that info Inti must be in Altmans hands.

    Jack Gregory has been hired to break Inti out of prison and keep him away from Altman. To do that Gregory must first be imprisoned himself.

    Admiral Riles of the NSA has sent his agent Janet Price to South America to make her way into the Altman estate to see exactly what the man is up to. Altman is on their radar.

    So begins another damned fine read.

    This one has Jack, Janet, Tupic, Altman, his number two Dolf, Jacks ride along Anchanchu, a way for Jack to be free of his ride along, Tupic and his deal with the NSA, a plot by Altman to use the staff, Altmans daughter, the NSA and its hunt for intel on Altman and his plans, Allies, enemies, friends and Jack and Janet doing their best to pull it off and survive.

    Five Stars and then some.

    Now on his 5th book, enough said!!!! Surprise to discover the quality of the writing. Knows his subject that is for sure. Love the mix of spy vs spy, teens issues, sy-fy, and love interests all tangled into a multi dimensional plot. The fight scenes and torture scenes are a bit too graffic for me but he does create a thrill.
