Bewertet in Deutschland am 24. Juni 2014Formatieren: TaschenbuchVerifizierter KaufI read this book very carefully because it is hard to read for someone who is not THAT confirm with sumerian mythologies. So I dont know, what is correct and what is bull. The summary of the mythologie sounds plausible for me and that brings me to give the first point. The second point is for some "aha"- and "nice to know"-effects in history. BUT: The rest is VERY highly speculative, often totaly wrong with some crude "pseudo-formulas" that makes absolutly no sense and much worse: the author seems to have absolute NO knowledge of sciences especially geology. And he creates a new physics called "scalar physic". Highly speculative but ok, thats what all science was once before it was corroboratet. Thats not the point. But his "scalar-physics" is written as to be THE "world formula".
But the worst are the "evidences" allegedly found on Mars, he postulates:
The so-called "five-sided pyramid", which is nothing but a 10 miles wide ridge...
If it where a pyramid, it has to be at least 5 miles high. When taking a closer look at it from the original HIRES-pictures from the mars orbiters one can clearly see it from all sides as mountain.
He also promotes the "mars-face" to be a big evidence. Thats worst esotherism of the early 20th century. If one take a look at this "face", there remains nothing but a mountain ridge with absolute no similarity of a face. He took the very old photo of Mariner to "prove" that it is a face. I mean, c'mon, seriously??
His "hexagonale" craters are nothing more as bad pictures. On the HIRES one can see it round with big crater-rims the casts shadows, so one could think it is a corner on lower-res pictures. The most craters are too flat to be created by an impact, he argued. For him it is due to nuclear weapons in a war on mars. Well, the flatness is very easy to explain: dust and ice (glaciers) are (still) floating these craters and filling them until they are "gone". No nuclear holocost needed.
His "walls" on mars are in fact deep and steep valleys. The LOWRES pictures he used shows them as walls because of the resolution and the fact, that the brain can make "walls" to valleys and valleys to walls optically. On HIGHRES one can perfectly see these valleys and huge ice-cracks with floating galciers. Not artifical walls or alleged "cities"...
Ok, when he has written this book, he had obviously no access to the HIRES images and had to speculate. But THAT? Seriously?
Going further to Iapetus, one of the moons of Saturn:
Again, "hexagonal" craters on LOWRES-pictures (in fact again rims casting shadows). The massive "bulge" at the equator is assumed to be artificial, because in his opinion mother nature DOES NOT such things. Well, it does actually. The moon is covered by ice, maybe with liquid water beneath. Because of the centripetal force a body of this volume will deform on the equator like earth. Additionally the ice will flow due to the coreolis effect to the equator, so it will build up such a massive ridge, squeezing the ice from south and north against one another. JP Farell argues, that the whole moon is artificial, "parked" in the orbit of saturn and compares it with the "death-star" from Starwars. Ok, ironically the similarity is optically given ;-)
Nevertheless, I was holding on reading it to its end, though the last 100 sides are very close to esotheric bulls*** in my eyes.
All in all a nice SiFi-story, with very naive knowledge of sciences, but not an explanation at all for a "cosmic war".
The "catastrophic" version of the incidents (which is a "nogo" for him) is way more coherent than this collection of presumptions.
Read it to get to your own opinion but dont take it TOO serious!
Sorry Mr. Farell, try again with new facts given from science.

The Boogie ManBewertet in Großbritannien am 4. August 20105,0 von 5 Sternen The Hunt for Gog and Magog continues!
Formatieren: TaschenbuchVerifizierter KaufThere is not one reference to the eponymous "Gog" and "Magog" in this book but George Bush's quest continues. Joseph P. Farrell's classic work throws doubt on the exoteric motive for the Iraq war. Farrell is an expert in the field of paleophysics and the terrible technological conflicts that occurred in what conventional archeology calls the "stone age", and the wars that could have occurred amongst "The Gods". millions of years previous to this. He has come to the conclusion after studying a variegated library of references, including Cremo and Thompson's "Forbidden Archeology" that evolutionists are completely wrong concerning the descent of man. Evolution is a simplistic way of seeing life on this planet, in fact it is akin to the beliefs that a Darwinist would ascribe to a "primitive" tribesman. The academic establishment simplifies and denigrates the civilizations that existed before our own and cynically manipulates the evidence, suppressing all anomalies that do not fit in with conventional theory. Farrell speculates, at different points in the text, that the war in Iraq is being fought partially to search for ancient paleo- physical technology.
Farrell's discourse is inspired by the work of Velikovsky and Van Flandern who hypothesized a catastrophic formation of the Solar System; Van Flandern who died last year is quoted extensively at the beginning of the book, with his exploding planet hypothesis. The evidence for this catastrophe can be seen in the asteroid belt and the plethora of craters all over the solar system. Van Flandern believed that this was the result of a missing planet "V" which exploded approximately 3.2 million years ago between Mars and Jupiter. He believed that humans or their predecessors migrated from Mars at this time as the exploding planet V made Mars uninhabitable. He was a believer as is Farrell in the hominid "Face on Mars" and the other "man" made monoliths in the Cydonia region of Mars.
Farrell takes the logic of Van Flandern and Velikovsky one step further; If there was a civilization on planet V and on Mars millions of years ago, which had already existed for millions of years then surely their technology would have advanced further than ours. The exploded watery planet V or Tiamat may have been eliminated using the same "scalar technology" that the Nazis were perfecting at the end of WW2.
My one gripe with the book is that Farrell appears to believe that civilization on Earth has only existed three times. According to conventional archeology our civilization beginning with the Sumerians has only ascended for roughly ten thousand years at most. If this space of time is divided into millions or possibly billions of years then hominids may have risen and fallen hundreds or thousands of times, developing space faring technology, colonizing the universe and even destroying themselves many, many times. Farrell has failed to spell this out.
There are many other sensational discoveries which Farrell has tied together neatly in this superbly sourced book from Adventures Unlimited; do not be put of by the trashy cover.

Formatieren: TaschenbuchVerifizierter KaufOxford educated researcher Dr. Joseph P. Farrell unleashes a reverberating hypothesis regarding ancient history whose echoes will be forever heard.
Cosmic War - Interplanetary Warfare, Modern Physics & Ancient Texts by Dr. Joseph P. Farrell is an extremely intriguing incursion into the possibility of a very ancient war in high antiquity.
Dr. Farrell's hypotheses of an Ancient Interplanetary War is argued in an in-depth, precise and reasonable approach. The extensive evidence Farrell collates and synthesizes in this particular book will leave the reader aghast with the possibilities.
Intriguingly enough, many ancient cultures stated that the 'Wars of the Gods' were quite real. Predictably, even though there's extensive evidence for advanced physics, advanced weapons, ancient [millions and BILLIONS of year old artifacts found by reputable sources], the establishment has painted all over ancient history with myth.
Regarding this very issue, Jim Marrs in his book Our Occulted History, sets his cross hairs on this very issue:
"The term mythology stems from the Greek word mythos, simply meaning words or stories reflecting the basic values and attitudes of people. In past ages, when the vast majority of humans were illiterate, easily understood parables were used to educate people about history, science, and technology. During the Dark Ages, when most of people were taught that the Earth was flat, the word mythology was changed by the Roman Church to mean imaginative and fanciful tales veering far from truthfulness. This small change in semantics has caused untold damage in current perceptions."[1]
Ironically enough, there is starting to be more and more evidence of 'myths' now turning out to be fact.
As Chris Hardy Ph.D remarks in her poignant book DNA Of The Gods:
"...let's remember that, before the discoveries of loads of ancient tablets written in the pictographic Sumerian language (Late Uruk period, fourth millennium BCE), the kingdom of Sumer was believed to be a myth. We had already discovered Akkad and deciphered Akkadian, and still archaeologists wouldn't give credence to the numerous carved references, within historical dated records, to a line of kings whose title was "King of Sumer and Akkad".[2][3]
Or how about the "myth" of Troy:
"This myth collapsed in 1865 with archeologist Frank Calvet's discovery of the historic ruins of not only one city of Troy but nine layers of it! The city, whose siege is recounted in Homer's Iliad, is only Troy VII, the seventh level underground, dating to the thirteenth century BCE."[4]
And notwithstanding:
"...according to geologist Robert Schoch, who, in 1990, worked with the renowned pioneer Egyptologist John Anthony West, the vertical erosion of the Sphinx was due to heavy and extensive rainfall that happened in the region between 10,000 and 5,000 BCE, thus dating the Sphinx's construction to at least 7,000 to 8,000 years ago ) according to Schoch's conservative estimate). What was the reaction of conventional archaeologists? Here is one: Zahi Hawass, Director General of Giza, was asked in an interview on the PBS series NOVA if it was possible that a more ancient civilization might have built the pyramids and sculpted the Sphinx. Hawass replied: "Of course it is not possible for one reason...No single artifact, no single inscription, or pottery, or anything has been found until now, in any place to predate the Egyptian civilization more than 5,000 years ago."[5]
That last passage in particular showcases the inherent dogma that we as a society have had to deal with.
The gatekeepers, for many reasons, want to keep established history in a nice little box. Fortunately, as anyone who has extensively research these topics know, there's more than ample evidence that shows that at minimum history isn't what we have been told.
In any case, Cosmic War covers wide ranging but pertinent topics such as Van Flandern's exploded planet hypothesis, an analysis of plasma in relation to weapons that employ scalar physics, petroglyphs which show plasma instability glyphs that were recorded by ancient cultures, remnants of giants in ancient history, optical phase conjugation, the story of the 'gods' as related through ancient texts, pulsars, generational charts of the 'gods', the scarring of The Valles Mariners being possibly from a weapon, Iapetus and its hexagonal craters, and a LOT more.
The ramifications of this book abound, and filter in all aspects of our lives. Dr. Farrell gives is more reasons [coupled with countless others in his other trenchant books] as to why we need to give history, particularly ancient history, a very long and thorough look.
In its totality, this book is a veritable fountain of information that is scholarly in precision, and thought-provoking in its ramifications. This book is a must read for anyone interested in ancient history, ancient civilizations, and any of the topics there in. There is more than enough information to make the reader curious about our past in more ways than they can really imagine.
