This set contains 3 limited maxi reproductions that include 4 bonus tracks recorded live at the Hammersmith Odeon in London on October 25, 1982. \x26#62; "Some Great Rewards" contains live tracks from the Liverpool show of September 29, 1984. This set also includes a new version of the 7\x26#34; "Blasphemous Rumours EP", available in 12\x26#34; for the first time.Each of the 6 maxis in each box has been remastered to the legendary Abbey Road Studios from the original bands.

    Wieso meine Rezension sowohl beim Construction Time Again als auch beim Some Great Reward Maxis Set auftaucht, ist mir schleierhaft, da ich diese nur beim ersten Set veröffentlicht habe. Sei es drum, das Meiste vom Inhalt ist schließlich für beide Sets zutreffend.

    Eigentlich waren mir die Depeche Mode Maxis-Boxsets (speziell die Sets der ersten beiden Alben) für den gebotenen Inhalt zu teuer, aber in der “3 kaufen 2 zahlen“ Aktion war der Preis dann halbwegs erträglich und ich habe mir neben Construction Time Again ebenfalls das Some Great Reward Maxis Set gegönnt.

    An die Depeche Mode Maxis aus den 80ern ist mittlerweile nur noch schwierig heranzukommen. Entweder werden diese total überteuert angeboten und/oder sie sind von schlechtem Zustand. Im Vinyl-Zeitalter war Depeche Modes Katalog fast durchgängig bis auf die limitierten Editionen erhältlich. Da hätte man als Zeitzeuge zuschlagen müssen. Egal, jetzt sind sie in diesen nummerierten und limitierten Sets wieder erhältlich. Sogar die limitierten Maxis sind dabei.

    Vom zweiten Schwung der Boxsets gefällt mir das Construction Time Set etwas besser, weil es optisch und haptisch etwas mehr her macht. Die rot, grün, blauen Versionen mit den Live-Tracks bieten auf der Hülle glänzende Goldprägungen und haben ein geriffeltes Muster. Auch die normale Everything Counts Maxi hat keine 0-8-15 Hülle. Diese wirkt rau.

    Das Vinyl befindet sich in gefütterten Innenhüllen. Jede Scheibe hat, im Gegensatz zu den 80ern, ein individuell gestaltetes Label. Das Poster (ca. DIN A3) hatte ich mir etwas größer vorgestellt. An der Vinyl-Qualität gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Top. Die B-Seiten mit den Live-Songs laufen auf 33 UpM.

    Fazit:
    Sehr hochwertiges Set mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Die Vinyl-Qualität ist durchweg hervorragend. Ein Download Code für 16 Bit Wav-Dateien (sehr dynamisches Mastering) liegt bei. Bis auf den happigen Preis gibt es eigentlich nichts zu verbessern.

    Das 3 Album von Depeche Mode auf 180gr.Vinyl gepresst.
    Die Klangqualität ist erheblich besser als die Ur-Pressung von 1983.
    Diese Vinyl-Wiederveröffentlichung eines Klassikers von Depeche Mode beweist das die heutige Technik des "Remastern" wenn es vernünftig geschieht durchaus "sinnvoll" ist.
    Dieses Vinyl braucht sich vor einer CD-Aufnahme nicht zu fürchten und stellt (das entsprechende hochwertige Abtastsystem vorausgesetzt) die CD in den Schatten.
    Zum Vergleich ein paar Daten: Frequenzgang CD 20-20000 Hz....die Schallplatte (abhängig vom Tonabnehmersystem und Vorverstärker)10-37000Hz und mehr....zudem auch die Lebenserwartung von Vinyl bei pfleglicher Handhabung "unendlich" ist, während bei einer CD nach mehreren Jahren die Reflexionsschicht sich auflöst (schon erlebt)und die CDs danach nicht mehr abspielbar sind.

    Also, alles in allem eine tolle Pressung und wirklich sehr schön aufgemacht. Ich bin aber der Meinung, dass man bei diesem Preis ruhig den jeweils zu den Maxis gehörenden Longplayer hätte beilegen können.
