"Challenge" is a real-life drama: prepare to be inspired.
As if suffering from multiple sclerosis was not enough, dozens of people with this debilitating disease took part in an exciting round-Britain sailing relay in a 37-foot catamaran. The aim: to raise money for research into MS and support for its sufferers, and also to show, not what people with a disability CAN’T do, but what they CAN do.
The event was a tremendous success, raising many thousands of pounds and attracting nationwide media attention. This book has three purposes –
To celebrate a courageous and inspiring adventure by 16 crews made up largely of sufferers of MS.
To inspire and encourage all sufferers that, despite their disabilities, it is still possible to take an active part in adventurous pursuits such as sailing.
To tell you why a sailing cruise is a wonderful experience for sailors and non-sailors alike - as exciting and stimulating a holiday on your own doorstep as you are likely to find anywhere in the world.
‘Challenge’ is about how, if you really want to, you can. As internationally-renowned sailor Tracy Edwards MBE says in the foreword: “Tony has managed to tell a great story…”
Profits from this e-book will be split equally between the MS Society and the RNLI.
