Kurzbeschreibung

Tales of the Shareem: Braden (Book 5) is a novel of 53,000 words, eighteen chapters.

Braden, a level-three Shareem, never thought he’d find anything interesting in a library, of all places. That is, until he spies Elisa n’Arell sitting behind a reference desk. She’s lovely, polite, and uses cute words like “mustn’t.”

The trouble is, the pretty librarian is a registered celibate, off-limits, forbidden, especially for the nearly outlawed Shareem. The second problem is, Braden has come into the library to research the problem of getting Shareem off the planet, an activity that could get him arrested and all Shareem killed. He needs the librarian’s help to get into restricted databases, but he can’t tell her why.

Elisa knows good and well that her motives for taking the robes of a celibate were less than pure. When Braden walks into her library, he takes her breath away. He tempts her to put aside her vows for a time and find out what she’s sacrificing. At the same time she’s determined to discover why Braden tricked her into giving him clearance for restricted information, and then was so bent on giving her presents in return.

Elisa asks Braden to teach her, and enters a world of heat and passion she’d never known existed. Too late, Elisa finds that forbidden fruit tastes the best of all . . .

Note: This novel is for readers over the age of eighteen. Includes scorching scenes, language, and some brief mfm.

It is no big literature but nice and entertaining enough. All the shareem books are a kind of longer short stories, but after reading most of them the characters had time to develop a bit, even if the cast is a bit stereotypical. If you like a blend of fantasy, romance, erotism you might like the shareem.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Braden and Elisa 21. Juli 2017

I love Braden's smart ass nature. He's level 3 Dom with a level 2 perchance for fun and games. Elisa comes across as a bit naive, but she's way more astute than Braden is prepared for. I liked how Braden kept trying to protect Elisa, she was always his priority. I loved that Elisa saw through his bull crap and called him on it. It was great seeing her take control and tell Braden how it was going to be and watch him willingly follow.

Okay. I admit it. Sci-Fi Romance is my guilty pleasure. Give me a gorgeous Alien with a good story, throw in enough sex to keep it interesting, and I'm in.
Oh, hell, yeah. I'm in.
Tales of the Shareem can't be beat. I have loved each and every one of the books: Rees, Rio, Calder, Aiden and Ky, Braden. I still have a couple in the series yet to read, and I am looking forward to reading them. Devouring them.
Oh, yes, ma'am. I am DEFINITELY looking forward to them.
Braden, I thought was amazing. A hot, sexy man that likes smart women? Where do I sign? I use words like wherewithal, nonetheless, and will be adding "shan't" at the earliest opportunity. Which Braden found sexy. And I liked how Braden found those words sexy because it gave me a whole new avenue for 'talking dirty'.
The relationship between Braden and, well, just about anyone was fun to read. His antics in getting the Librarian interested in him was fun to imagine and, holy moly, hot!
If you enjoy 'spicy' Sci-Fi Romance, I really recommend the entire series.
Really, seriously, recommend.
5.0 von 5 Sternen The same sexy song on repeat...and yet still hopelessly addicted 28. März 2014

Alright, forgive that title, but I'm a big music lover. In case the innuendo doesn't do it for you, I just meant that these Tales of the Shareem stories are the same sexy story told over and over again, only with a different Shareem and another high-born lady, which if you read my review of Calder you would know I sort of have a beef with because I feel like the high-born women don't even appreciate these sexy piece of specimen and yet it's the high-born ladies gettin' all the love! Anyway, don't even get me started on that. The point is, if I these Shareem weren't so damn SEXY I probably would have stopped reading this after Aidan and Ky. Seriously, if you read any of the ones before this one, the story is pretty much the same.

This time its high-born Elisa, the librarian, and Braden, another level-3 Shareem - which brings me to another slight beef with this series on the side. What's with all the stories about level-3's? I get it, they're probably the most interesting in the sack, but I was looking damn forward to learning about the sensuality of a level 1 and unfortunately Aidan, the level-1 in the story about him and Ky, was practically overshadowed by his more aggressive and dominant level-3 buddy, Ky. Rees was the only one who wasn't a level-3, but then he's purportedly not a level anything because he was considered defective (defective my ass - if you haven't read Rees, go read it and we'll see who's defective, okay?). In the meantime, Elisa is a registered celibate and when Braden comes strutting his sexy ass into her library wanting to use the computer to look up "Singing Spheres", the girl is gone and doesn't know if she ever wants to come back...

So what can I tell you if this is your first time to the series? Well, prepared to be mind...screwed, to put it cleanly. I think the author created the Shareem too damn well because I swear as you read this you will feel yourself responding to their presence. If that sounds mental, it is. I read a lot of erotica and I'm actually pretty jaded about most of the stuff I read, but this stuff packs a punch. You will need a cigarette (I don't smoke, but I need one anyway) after reading the scenes in here - it's that serious.

On a final note, I did give this one five-stars as opposed to the four I was prepared to give it because of the repetition of the core storyline about the Shareem losing his heart to another high-born woman who thinks she's going to change life for the better for all Shareem (you see, the sex is that good it got these women moving mountains for them)because of the introduction of Justin, who I've been waiting to read about since I first discovered this series a while back. It was the sample of his story that made me want to give this series a chance. I don't want to get into too much detail about him or his situation, but his arrival introduces a new plot twist that promises a major change for the Shareem and brings to light some questions about just who the Shareem really are and what they are capable of.

Anyway, let the sexy saga continue.
4.0 von 5 Sternen Series is Really Coming Together 8. Juni 2014

BRADEN it's the fifth book in the Tales of the Shareem series. Braden is a level three Shareem who is more playful than others of his type. The overarching story of the series is beginning to take shape. The Shareem are making plans to escape their home planet where the are treated as second class citizens. Braden goes to the library to do some research and encounters Elisa the librarian.

As is true of the other books in this series, this book is erotic romance which means that the sex is more graphic and exotic than a normal romance book. As a warning for those who care, there is m/m/f going on here.

I liked this story based on the strength of the romance between Braden and Elisa. He quickly begins to care for her and his struggles against it are a big party of the story even as he is surrounded by examples of living relationships.

I have just started reading Allyson James work. Now she's one of my top 10 authors. I loved Braden (Tales of the Shareem)! The entire series had me hooked. I ended up reading the entire series within a week. I am not the type to give away details of the book. But expect to be blown away. Very steamy and unique!!!!!
