BLOODY MARY the second book of the Jack Daniel series starts not with a big bang. It takes slowly speed and has less action then the book before. There is a killer out there in the streets of Chicago and – surprising – in the middle of the book Jackie is shooting him down. Case solved now? Of course not. The Killer is still alive and on goes the show.
Beside this story there are more personal things in here. Jacks ex-husband is touching the scene, also her boyfriend and on top of all her mom. Also her partner Herb has private problems too.
BLOODY MARY was good to read as the other books by J. A. Konrath. But I missed a bit the action in the middle of the story, but the showdown at the end was great.
