BN-880, larger than bn180 bn220gps, has 4M flash, HMC5883 compass. It is compatible with Arduino, flight control and Windows.

When the blue light flashes, it means data is outputted. When the amount of data output is large, the blue light will always light up.

    Ich habe mir dieses GPS fuer meine FPV Drohne gekauft. Haupteinsatzgebiet ist Gescheindigkeit und Höhe an zu zeigen. Bei Signalverlust an der Brille kann es natürlich auch hilfreich sein.
    Zuvor habe ich ein BN220 verwendet. Dort hatte ich zum Teil nach 6 Akkus endlich mal ein Satellit gefunden. Mit diesem Modul habe ich mehrere Satelliten in ein paar Sekunden. So wie es auch sein sollte. Preis ist mit um die 30€ zwar nicht ganz so günstig wie andere, aber dafür funktioniert es auch.

    Gutes Mini-GPS mit Kompass-Modul integriert.
    Funktioniert gut mit diversen Minicomputern. Ich nutze sie mit meinen FPV-Drohnen.
    Mit Betaflight-Controllern arbeitet dieses GPS sehr gut zusammen. Einfach anschließen und UBLOX als Protokoll einstellen- läuft. Die etwas größere Antenne dieses GPS sorgt für recht guten Sattelitenempfang.
    Bei der Montage die schöne Seitenach unten und die Plastikscheibe nach oben montieren. Die Plastikscheibe ist die Antenne.

    Das Modul habe ich für den Anschluss an Arduino bestellt. Mit der TinyGPS Bibliothek funktionierte es auf Anhieb. Ach am Lieferumfang gibt es nichts zu bemängeln (unterschiedliche Kabel auf Pinleiste männlich sowie weiblich und weitere waren dabei).
    So kam ich schnell zum Erfolg und hatte dank der aktiven Antenne selbst indoor bis zu 10 Satelliten.
    Einzig die serielle Schnittstelle des GPS-Empfängers ist mit 9600 Bd lahm und bremste bei mir den Atmega aus. In der Folge flackerte bei meinem Projekt das Display. So musste ich noch einen weiteren Mikroprozessor dazwischen bauen, welcher die Seriellen Daten puffert und auf I2C umsetzt.
    Die am Modul vorhandene I2C gibt nur die Daten des elektronischen Kompass aus, nicht die GPS-Daten.
    Gut finde ich die Möglichkeit, das Board an eine Pinleiste oder ein eigenes Kabel anzulöten (Rastermaß 2,54mm). So konnte ich es Huckepack auf einem anderen Board platzieren.

    Die Empfangsqualität ist auf hohem Niveau. Mithalten kann hier nur noch ein NEO-M8N, die "wie Sand am Meer" NEO-6M Module sind da um einiges schlechter. Auch ein BN-220 kann hier nicht mithalten.
    Läuft mit 3,3V auch sehr gut.

    Verwendung an einem Matek F405WSE mit ArduPilot. Ersetzt das M8Q mehr als vollwertig. Nach 30sec Kaltstart 15 Sats.
    Etwas größer als das M8Q, aber wesentlich schneller.
    Bei den nächsten Boards werde ich es wieder verwenden, denn es ist obendrein auch noch günstiger als das Matek-Equivalent.

    So far, I've only tested this indoors, but my experience with it thus far has been great.

    From a cold start, it takes a while to get a fix. But it does eventually get one, and subsequent starts will see it getting a fix much more quickly. Sitting on my desk, it has consistently tracked over 7 satellites, with it often going as high as 10 or 11. Once it has a fix, I haven't seen it drop the fix while powered on.

    The position is also incredibly accurate, getting down to a radius of ~18 meters of my actual location- again, this is indoors, so the performance outside is likely to be even better. The speed measured by it is also quite accurate- sitting still, it usually indicates under 0.5 kph with it *occasionally* going up to 3.

    The included magnetometer works incredibly well and gives me a very accurate reading on 3 axes. Just gotta make sure to mount it with the antenna facing upwards.
