4,0 von 5 SternenProvides GREAT Player Stats - although I do have a couple of suggestions

I like this stat app a lot, I love that you can add 3 custom stat trackers and the summaries you can compile are great... I was able to provide a tournament summary of the player stats, plus I can do the entire season. I'm still trying to figure out how to do a player's individual season stats, but I know I read that this can be done.
My Wish List / Suggestions:
1. Time Clock - I would like to track player minutes somehow... 2. I would like the option to "color code" the buttons... I feel this would be easier for selecting the correct buttons. 3. I would like some sort of notification when I add a stat to a player, similar to like how when you select a player, it highlights that player.... well, I would like to have the button change color or something when you click on the stat so I know the stat was added without paying too much attention to the detail of the # changing (as it is small) while trying to keep up with the game. 4. I wish the Player list on the side could be a little larger and provide an option for a photo of the player or some other personalized identification... I feel like I'm spending so much time ensuring that I select the right player to add a stat to that I occasionally miss a play/stat because I'm looking at my Kindle instead of the game.
These 4 things are wishes... and I am going to send an email to Hayava about them and see what they say... I'm hoping that this is something they can do and if they make any changes, I will update this review.
Other than this, the app is great. I like the report is generates and it is great to keep track of the stats for the players.

I bought this app because I cover basketball games for a local newspaper and they make me keep my own stats. I'm really glad I did--it works great. I found it relatively easy to use--easier than doing it by hand on a form that I made for myself by far. It installed easily and at $1.50 was a real bargain. It was easy to use during a game and quite intuitive.
However, it didn't produce the "newspaper box score" that my paper demanded. So I dropped Hayava an e-mail and asked if there was a way to do that. No, they said, but they'd work on it. I expected that to be the last I ever heard of it, so I was pleasantly surprised that they got back to me about a week later and told me they'd put it together for me. It took a bit of doing to get it installed, but it now works like a charm. (This feature is now included on the latest version.)
I do have a few complaints/suggestions. First, you have to change screens to change who's in the game and who's come out when substitutions are made. Changing screens on my tablet is WAAAYY too slow, so that's not an option for me. I just don't bother checking who's in or out. That means I have to scroll down the side sometimes to find the player I want to add stats to. It's a small thing, but with the fast pace of a game, it sometimes takes too long and I miss something. Second, it would be nice to be able to save teams' rosters so that I could just call them back up the next time I'm assigned to do one of their games. The saving-recalling options are confusing--I've deleted entire lineups several times and had to re-key them.
Those are minor complaints, though (and the reason I give this a 4 instead of a 5). Overall, this software works exactly the way it's supposed to, and I love it for keeping stats during the flow of a game. It's an incredible bargain. I also couldn't be happier with the response to my request for a new feature. Maybe I'll ask them about changing the substitution and roster things; I'll bet they'd do it!
Updated 2-4-13: I didn't even have to ask them; they e-mailed me with the answers all on their own. (These guys are very responsive--that alone is so unusual that it's worth getting this app.!) Turns out that there is an easy way to do the substitutions, which I didn't know about. They explained it to me, and I'll try it next time. Should make this even easier to use. Also, there's a way to save rosters and recall them, too. Apparently there is a video tutorial on how to use this, which I didn't know about. i'll have to find that and check it out. Once again, my thanks to Hayava--great response.

The entry of the stats are easy but the way they split the games up to quarters in the software doesnt make it easy to evaluate whats going on in the game. Also it's a nightmare trying to save a game and start a new one. I do not recommend this product.
