Vorsicht Augenkrebs, Verschwommenes Bild, Farbdarstellung sehr schlecht, zieht schlieren
Reviewed in Germany on 11 October 2018Verified Purchase

Hab mir gleich 2 diesee Prachtdinger gekauft.

There's no VESA or screw holes in the back. You can't mount this monitor to any form of monitor mount or monitor wall. It simply lacks any holes at all.
It does however look and feel amazing. It can be changed to 75Hz in GPU settings and 1440p is amazing.
It does require a direct HDMI-HDMI connection, I believe, since both my DP to HDMI adapters failed to output higher than 1080p.
Colour and response time are great. Lots of settings. You should instantly turn off vividpixel since that just makes the image incredibly jagged and grainy. The opposite of what you want from a 1440p monitor.
Overall perfect if you don't plan on mounting it to a multi-monitor stand like I intended to...

I have this in the middle of two 1920x1080 Asus monitors. Fortunately they are almost the same size, so the display matches well.
I thought the old monitors were pretty good. However it is very, very noticeable when moving a window from this to the others that the display quality is vastly better on this one.
I was also slightly concerned that games performance might suffer a bit with the resolution increase. It can actually be better; you simply don't need the antialiasing on most of the time, as the resolution makes any pixelisation vanish anyway.
I also like the buttons underneath more than the ones at the back like the others have. And although the border at the bottom is bigger, the ones which really count (the sides) are even smaller.
The only problem I have with it is that some Windows apps still don't really support resolutions this high; things like menus and interfaces can be so tiny as to be almost unreadable. Hopefully that will be addressed over time.
Hmmm, time to look up how much another two of these are ...

A very disappointing display with washed out and dull picture
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 September 2019Verified Purchase
I've had this monitor for nearly 6 months. The price paid would suggest a mid-range monitor, but this is clearly a very budget monitor and I could have picked a better one for 3/4 of the price I paid for this. I suspect those offering 4 or 5 star reviews can't really see how poor this display really is - a bit like how some folk don't notice how tinny, muddy and muffled a set of cheap headphones sound. Before people suggest it's all subjective - yes up to a point - when you can compare with other products than the difference becomes very obvious.
The main complaint of mine is that the contrast and colours are very poor. What should be beautiful, lush and vivid movies and cut-scenes in games look pale, dull and washed out on this monitor. It's very clearly noticeable when compared to my other much older monitor and even my smartphone! It really does suck the joy out of the experiences.
I've tried for ages, as many people here have, to adjust the settings on the monitor and calibrating Windows OS but it's simply too limited and the settings that are available don't improve the major flaws at all. It's also very awkward to change the settings so that's an added frustration because you need to spend ages to work on them.
I'm very disappointed with this monitor and wish I had not been lazy and had returned it within the 30 day returns window. But I certainly will avoid Asus displays next time.

Yellow Tint on right side of screen and 1 DEAD pixel
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 October 2017Verified Purchase
Sadly lovely design with extremely low bezel but my one showed discolouration on the right side of the screen where it had a yellow tint and i changed cables and did colour calibration but nothing worked and then found 1 dead pixel in the lower centre of the screen. Sent back for refund as i didn't want to trust another one coming like this, also no height adjustment either so ordered a Dell U2515H fingers crossed this is a better screen and no issues

sharp image that needs to be viewed square-on. not for older eyes?
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 February 2019Verified Purchase
two feet away and all is sharp though with windows set to highest resolution you may need to set windows display scaling up (150% recommended?) otherwise text takes a little more effort to read with "older/middle-aged" eyes. That said, its nice when running apps that use big screen area- video/audio/photo editing software as you get more on the screen at 2560x1660 pixels. (a nice step up from my previous 1920x1080)
Downside-
if using as part of a pair of screens you need to maintain eyes towards the middle of the screen as if you look at the screen at one edge as far away as the width of the screen or closer you may struggle to see the furthest away edge pixels. Feels as if the edge of the screen is bent away from the viewer even though its a flat screen
