Die Ohrhörer arbeiten mit Signalgebern aus Neodym, einem seltenen Erdmagneten, der den Frequenzbereich und die gesamte Tonqualität deutlich verbessert. Diese Neodym-Ohrhörer sind sogar 5-mal so leistungsstark wie andere Kopfhörer, die auf Aluminium, Kobalt oder Keramik basieren.

Die Kabel-Fernbedienung verfügt über vier einfache Tasten, mit denen Sie vor- und zurückspulen, die Wiedergabe unterbrechen und die Lautstärke regeln können. Mit der Taste "Hold" können Sie den iPod so sperren, dass die Tasten nicht aus Versehen gedrückt werden können. Die Fernbedienung lässt sich ganz einfach an Ihrer Jacke, Ihrem Hemd oder am Kragen befestigen, sodass Sie sie leicht erreichen können.

Die Fernbedienung an sich funktioniert tadellos, allerdings ist der Clip, mit dem man die Fernbedienung an der Kleidung befestigen kann nur für T-Shirts und ähnlich dünne Kleidungsstücke geeignet, denn nicht einmal bei einem normalen Pullover lässt sie sich noch anklemmen ... Zusätzlich ist das Kabel der Kopfhörer alleine schon fast zu lang, allerdings verdoppelt sich die Länge, wenn man die Fernbedienung noch dazwischenklemmt. Sehr praktisch nur dann, wenn man den iPod in der Reisetasche hat und diese von jemand anderem getragen wird.
An sich eine tolle Erfindung, doch eher nicht weiter zu empfehlen, denn wer will sich schon die Kopfhörer 3x herumwickeln?! ;-)

Diese Fernbedienung ist super praktisch wenn man nicht immer seinen iPod herauskramen will, man steuert alles von außen.
Dennoch ist es unsinnig einen 2.Kopfhörer beizulegen, da dieser ja bei jedem iPod sowieso dabei ist.
Auch die Kabel sind mit Fernbedienung viel zu lang und darum gebe ich nur 3 Sterne für dieses Produkt.

Wenn irgendetwas auf dieser Welt Sinn macht dann bestimmt diese Fernbedienung.Einen Ipod in der Tasche zu bedienen ist ja fast unmöglich... Leider gehört Sie nicht bei jedem Modell zur Grundausstattung. Geliefert wird netter Weise nicht nur die FB, nein, Kopfhörer und zwei mal Earpads gibt es noch dazu (vermutlich hat man bei Apfel gemerkt dass die immer wegfliegen). Leider ist der Knickschutz des Kabels nicht ausreichend, man sollte also aufpasen wo man das Kabel anfasst.

Habe Die Fehrnbedinung Heute bekommen und gleich mal ausbrowiert.Die Kabellänge ist ein bischen zulange aber mann kann es mit einen kabelbienter zusammen machenen so das mann die richtige länge hat. dieses Teil ist echt Klasse. Kanns echt nur weiter empfehlen

Passt weder bei meinem Nano, noch bei dem Shuffle, für den ich die Fernbedienung eigentlich bestellt hatte, da er keine Tasten hat.
Davon ist in der Produktbeschreibung keine Rede.
Also völlig umsonst bestellt!
Abgesehen davon hat man mit der zusätzlichen Fernbedienung ein endlos langes Kabel, das gerade beim Joggen (für was eine Fernbedienung praktisch ist, da man dann nicht das komplette Gerät rauskramen muss)sehr störend bzw. ungeeignet ist.

Das Positive zu erst: Eine Fernbedienung ist für jeden Benutzer, der nicht dauernd seinen iPod aus der Tasche kramen will, unerläßlich.
Die negative Seite: Der Halteclip ist eine Zumutung. Er hält so schlecht, dass er sich oftmals selbstständig macht. Auch ist die Qualität mäßig, bei mir ist der Hold-Schieber nach 4 Wochen ohne Gewalt abgebrochen.
Fazit: ein überaus nützliches Teil, welches Schwächen hat. Leider gibt es keine Alternative.

Der Ipod, so toll auch das Drehrad ist, wäre ohne dieser Fernbedienung nicht so toll. Es geht ja darum, den Player irgendwo in der Tasche verschwinden zu lassen und die Songs dann kurzfristig aussuchen zu können. Auch die Lautstärke läßt sich besser einstellen als am ziemlich empfindlichen Click-Wheel. Zusätzlich wird das Click-Wheen geschont und wird nicht schnell dreckig. Der Preis ist zwar etwas heftig, aber Apple wußte schon warum.
Eine minimalste negative Anmerkung hätte ich nur in Bezug auf die insgesamte Kabellänge. Ohne Fernbedienung wäre es gerade perfekt. Mit der Fernbedienung ist es etwas lang geraten. Aber komischerweise bildet das Kabel nicht so schnell einen Knotensalat wie man es von sonstigen Kopfhörern gewohnt ist.

Zubehör das man braucht

Das ist mal ein wirklich vernünftiges Zubehör das man wirklich gebrauchen kann. Der Ipod verschwindet in der Tasche, alle wichtigen Funktionen kann man über die Kabelfernbedienung vornehmen und egal wo man hinkommt, ob es dort laut oder leise ist, man einfach den Song nochmal hören möchte oder den nächsten überspringen will, die Bedienung ist immer greifbar. Man muß nicht nach dem Ipod suchen, am Rädchen drehen um ihn dann wieder in die Tasche zu stecken, und vielleicht für den nächsten Song wieder rauszuholen. Der einzige Nachteil: das Kabel wird sehr lang! Aber das ist nicht wirklich ein Problem. Sehr empfehlenswert!

I thought I would do a review as I can't believe how negative all the other reviews are?? For what it is and what it does the remote is fine. It is fairly small and discrete but it's designed to be that way. I agree the clip could be a little stronger, and the buttons are sensitive, if you clip it to your bag as you walk along you may skip tracks with a slight touch....but you can always use the hold switch. It may be a little expensive as well but you do get a set of extra earphones with it as well. The best feature is that it has its own phone socket, so if you want to have bigger hi-fi headphones you can plug them into the remote and still use the remote controls. So unless you want to keep taking your ipod out of your pocket for all to see every few minutes you must get this!

It's odd when I read the reviews on here as half of them talk about the earphones and half about the remote. I want to buy just the remote on its own but seem unable to (another Apple ploy perhpas). The headphones are quite possibly the most uncomfortable things I've ever used and I don't want to buy any more, but I can't buy the remote on its own.
Which is a pain as it's a pretty fragile thing. Where it fits into your iPod, there's no strengthening around the wire and pretty soon the wires crease and you start to lose sound. I got my iPod just over a year ago (with the remote) and have just bought my third replacement remote as the previous two have both been rendered useless as the sound is now totally distorted. Given that they're not cheap to replace, this is a complete pain. Unfortunately though I love having the remote as it means you don't have to keep whipping your iPod out to change tracks/volume. So I keep buying more.
I just wish they'd sell them without those terrible earphones.
Well, actually, I just wish they'd fix the design problem first of all so I didn't have to waste money replacing it every six months.
In conclusion, great piece of kit, but terribly made.

(I've heard a bunch of mixed opinions on the earbuds... they fit some people better than others. I've never had a problem with them and use them regularly while riding the train and working out at the gym. My reason for writing this review is to address the remote.)

What I like: Keeping my iPod tucked in my computer bag as I ride the train, with only the remote controller out. iPod thefts are a common crime where I live, and keeping it out of sight is at least one protective measure you can take. I can control the volume and playback very nicely and when I'm done, I turn off the iPod with the controller and tuck the earbuds in a side pocket. Very convenient. And as I mentioned above, the earbuds are fine for me. I'm not entirely too gentle with them so getting an extra set of them with the remote is OK. :)

What I don't like: As others have mentioned, the cable covering that protects the wiring as it connects to the part you plug into your iPod is not very sturdy. As the cable twists and moves about during normal jostling and shuffling about (even in a bag), that cable covering works loose eventually, exposing the wiring. And if the wiring in turn gets twisted, it definitely impacts playback quality. Typically I'll have diminished or crackling sound in one earbud or the other. If I twist the cable and/or push the covering back down (and this is difficult), it will be OK for a while. I've resorted to awkwardly wrapping that part with electrician's tape but it's only a stopgap measure. Hence I'm now buying my third remote. I'm probably going to try to secure it right from the go, to prolong the life of the remote, but I figure I'll be back here buying another one in a year or so.

The bottom line: It's convenient but not perfect. If you don't mind fumbling with the iPod as you listen on the go, you don't need this product. If you do buy it, treat the cable carefully and be aware that the covering will probably separate from the connector at some point. Hope that's helpful!

Excellent, a must have for motorcyclists

The iPod remote is a must have if you use your iPod while riding. One addition I strongly recommend is the Griffin Earjam Earbuds for iPod (about $7.50 a set). Not only do the earjams assure the buds will stay in your ears while riding but the sound is amazing.

The remote clips on just about anywhere you'd like. If it's cool enough for a leather coat, I clip the control onto the front of my jacket so that it's easily accessible with my left hand (right hand will be busy on the throttle). If it's too hot for a jacket, I run the cord for the earbuds under my shirt and, using the belt clip for my mini pod, I clip it on my pants and then I clip the remote onto my pants pocket, again on the left side (make sure you lock the iPod using that slide bar because even with the iPod in the locked position, the buttons on the remote will still work). After only a couple minutes of fingering the buttons on the remote, I was able to operate it effectively without having to actually look at it (a benefit being that it's a good idea to keep your eyes on the toad). Even though the remote has a locking mechanism just like the iPod (it disables the buttons so they can't be pressed accidently), I have found that it's not needed. The buttons are so stiff, they're just about impossible to press by accident.

If you often have a rider and want to share your tunes with them, invest in the Belkin splitter that allows a second set of earbuds to be used.

Don't tell anyone but Apple could easily be charging double what they are currently getting for this must have accessory.

I purchased this for use at the gym - the idea being that the remote was easier to reach than the mini. I like the ease of use, but have a few "problems" with it;

1) the clip is small, while good visually it is hard to attach to anything. For example, it clips better to the edge of my shirt than in the center.

2) there is a lot of extra cord - once you hook the ear buds in you end up with several feet of white cord which just gets in the way.

3) when the volume reaches a certain level there is some static, like a loose connection. I check to make sure everything is completely plugged in, but still there is some scratchy-ness that is not there with just the ear buds.

The end result is that the remote is a great add - on, but not a must have.
