“Giants in ancient America? You bet! It’s all here in Richard Dewhurst’s fabulous book. Extensively illustrated and chronicled with firsthand accounts from early 19th- and 20th-century news clippings, this book will shatter the mainstream academic teachings that continue to ignore and cover up the role giants played in early American history.” (Xaviant Haze, author of Aliens in Ancient Egypt and coauthor of The Suppressed History of America)

“At last, a comprehensive sourcebook that demystifies the giants of ancient America. Lavishly illustrated, this goliath and gutsy book delivers an unprecedented wealth of information on the great mound builders. Dewhurst digs deeper than the rest. Don’t miss it.” (Susan B. Martinez, Ph.D., author of Lost History of the Little People and The Mysterious Origins of)

“I don’t say this lightly, but of all the nonfiction books I have on my precious shelf space, this book actually has its own little stand so I can gaze at it. I’ve highlighted nearly every page and dog-earred many and hope to use these references in future hypotheses I will present about this amazing and unexplainable race of giants. Thank you, Dewhurst, for such an amazing and laboriously loving research into what I consider one of the single most important anthropological puzzles man has ever tackled.” (Sharon Day, Ghost Hunting Theories Blog, January 2014)

The Ancient Giants who Ruled America is a treasure trove for alternative history and archaeology buffs…This book was an eye-opener, both in its subject matter and also the amount of reporting that Mr. Dewhurst was able to hunt down, covering nearly 400 years.” (Jennifer Hoskins, New Dawn, July 2014)

“This is the most comprehensive and level approach to the subject of giant humanoids in Earth’s past to have ever been published. The most appealing aspect is that Dewhurst has collected a vast array of primary sources and presents them here. Reading one newspaper discovery after another of giant skeletons and artifacts is perhaps the most compelling reason to question the standard lines we are given about humanity’s origins. When coupled with his persuasive theories explaining why the Smithsonian would actively cover up such discoveries, you have one valuable and entertaining read! Highly recommended.” (Robert R. Hieronimus, Ph.D., author of Founding Fathers, Secret Societies and host of 21st Century R)

A study of the substantial evidence for a former race of giants in North America and its 150-year suppression by the Smithsonian Institution

• Shows how thousands of giant skeletons have been found, particularly in the Mississippi Valley, as well as the ruins of the giants’ cities

• Explores 400 years of giant finds, including newspaper articles, first person accounts, state historical records, and illustrated field reports

• Reveals the Stonehenge-era megalithic burial complex on Catalina Island with over 4,000 giant skeletons, including kings more than 9 feet tall

• Includes more than 100 rare photographs and illustrations of the lost evidence

Drawing on 400 years of newspaper articles and photos, first person accounts, state historical records, and illustrated field reports, Richard J. Dewhurst reveals not only that North America was once ruled by an advanced race of giants but also that the Smithsonian has been actively suppressing the physical evidence for nearly 150 years. He shows how thousands of giant skeletons have been unearthed at Mound Builder sites across the continent, only to disappear from the historical record. He examines other concealed giant discoveries, such as the giant mummies found in Spirit Cave, Nevada, wrapped in fine textiles and dating to 8000 BCE; the hundreds of red-haired bog mummies found at sinkhole “cenotes” on the west coast of Florida and dating to 7500 BCE; and the ruins of the giants’ cities with populations in excess of 100,000 in Arizona, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Louisiana.

Dewhurst shows how this suppression began shortly after the Civil War and transformed into an outright cover-up in 1879 when Major John Wesley Powell was appointed Smithsonian director, launching a strict pro-evolution, pro-Manifest Destiny agenda. He also reveals the 1920s’ discovery on Catalina Island of a megalithic burial complex with 6,000 years of continuous burials and over 4,000 skeletons, including a succession of kings and queens, some more than 9 feet tall--the evidence for which is hidden in the restricted-access evidence rooms at the Smithsonian.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Excellent secular proof of Nephilim on earth 15. April 2016

Nephilim proof. I love when secular history proves Enoch accounts of the biblical offspring produced from fallen angels mating with God's perfectly created woman. Does the author know? Didn't seem that way. This book way more important than meets the eye. It proves biblical accounts of Giants, and thus Nephilim (even forbidden knowledge of metalurgy, refer to Enoch, one of the hidden books).

3.0 von 5 Sternen could be better 8. Juni 2017

Not a stellar effort, very redundant. It does make its point, but it could have been a much better book. It is an endless series of 19th century newspaper clippings, mostly, on the theme of outsized skeletons found in the United States, and some commentary on why this evidence of giants, who may or may not have been of native American stock, has been "suppressed" by the Smithsonian, a casualty perhaps of the temporary triumph of the Clovis theory during the 20th century. The book is published by Bear & Co in Vermont, who have set their editorial bar somewhat low at times, this being an example.

4.0 von 5 Sternen More Fun Than a Barrel of Giants! 7. September 2016
Von D. J. Bershaw - Veröffentlicht auf

One can only imagine the meetings in a secret room at the Smithsonian, very tall, well-dressed men -- the tall people in the grave sites always appear to be male -- sitting around a very large, long table in very large chairs, chuckling as they discuss how they have fooled the public about their ancestry and suppressed the knowledge of their existence for hundreds of years. They swirl their brandy, take the occasional drink, and chat about the continued deception while they plot how to rule the country forever. History would determine they are Mormon, and the Book of Mormon and the tales of great battles are all true. On the other hand, Isaac Asimov was once asked about visiting aliens abducting innocent rural folk during nocturnal hours and replied: "Why would they bother?" Why would the Smithsonian bother? The answer, of course, is that they wouldn't. Museums do lose stuff. It happens. But to lose tons and tons of skeletal portions, exciting jewelry, weapons galore, and all the trappings of an advanced society, that's a real stretch. More so if every farm family in the Midwest has an attic full of remains and tools which they have treasured and kept secret for many generations. All those skulls and teeth and no one reputable has done a genome analysis? When Kennewick Man was tested, he was found to be ancestral to today's indigenous inhabitants, despite the fact that he did not overly resemble them. And the horned skulls and 'double dentition?' A break, please. Yes, some people have extra teeth. It is not uncommon. I have personally seen eight additional teeth in one mouth. However, that is not the human norm, even back unto Homo habilis, not to mention chimps and gorillas. Horns? Well, there is Dick Cheney, but beyond him, maybe not. Remember when the Irish had tails? Once a common belief, particularly amongst the oppressive English. So there are human skeletons which are large? They are still human, still can be DNA tested . So let's have some science, folks. That'd be neat. Unless, of course, every large village got a few giants to do the heavy work and amuse the village kids, big clumsy dolts, part of the local color. Could that be true story? We may never know, at least until there is science!

3.0 von 5 Sternen Well researched but flawed 14. März 2015

The author did an amazing job of collecting and presenting very interesting primary source material such as old newspaper clippings, that do indeed point to a pattern of discovery and coverup. But the book needs more narrative by the author to tie all this together. This would make it much more interesting to read and put the source material in proper context.

Lots of references and photos to old newspaper stories and historical speeches and anecdotal information. There was some high speculation in the book, but in general, I believe the much of the information is accurate and proves that the history of the United States is not quite as we were taught.
