USB Versionsnummern

- das Kabel ist leider recht dick

Anwendung des Produktes:
+ sehr straffer Sitz der USB Anschlüsse, wackelt also nicht
- das Kabel läd leider durch die Ladebegrenzung recht langsam

Fazit:
Es handelt sich definitiv nicht um ein Schnellladekabel. Ich habe mir dieses Kabel gekauft um mein Tablet auch gemütlich im Fernsehsessel zu verwenden und dabei am Strom zu halten. Hierfür ist es optimal.

Ich habe schon verschiedene Kabel von verschiedenen Herstellern für mein Smartphone gehabt, aber von der Qualität sind diese hier ganz weit hinten.

Zwar laden diese Kabel wenigstens so wie es sein sollte, es kommt als genug Strom am Gerät an, das ist nicht immer der Fall, manche Kabel versorgen das Gerät nicht mit genug Spannung/Strom.

Aber innerhalb von einem Jahr sind mir insgesamt 5 dieser Kabel kaputt gegangen, meist war einer der Pins direkt am Stecker verbogen, so dass der Kontakt nicht mehr richtig hergestellt werden konnte.

Ärgerlich!

Ja leider passen die Kabel am Smartphone nicht da sie zu dick sind. Am Smartphone ist eine Hülle und das Kabel ist so dick vorne sodass ich jedes mal die Hülle abnehmen müsste. Ich komme auf ca 1.6A beim laden. Was ganz ok ist. Nun nutze ich sie zum laden meiner Powerbank's, das klappt ganz gut und Ladekabel kann man ja nie genug haben. Der Preis ist Bombe hier also kann ich nur einen Stern abziehen weil sie für meine Anwendung nicht passen.

Das Amazon-Basics-Kabel ist sehr gut verarbeitet und passt genau in die vorgesehenen Öffnungen. Ich benutze das Kabel nun schon mehrere Monate und ich kann keine Beschädigungen feststellen.

Für den Preis kann ich das Kabel auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

Gute Verarbeitung, sehr wertig zu einem sehr guten und nur schwer zu schlagendem Preis.
Hatte bisher keine Wackelkontakte oder Aussetzer.
Wenn Kabel - dann Amazon Basics.

Bei diesem Kabel habe ich jedoch ein Problem: Das Gehäuse des Micro-B-Steckers ist verhältnismäßig dick: 9 mm hoch, 10 mm breit. Ich möchte das 1,8 m Kabel mit der induktiven Qi-Ladestation von Samsung nutzen. Jedoch ist hierfür das Gehäuse zu dick um den Stecker komplett in die Buchse der Ladestation einzuführen. Und ich denke, dass es mit vielen anderen Geräten hier durchaus aus Probleme geben kann. Deshalb zwei Sterne Abzug.

Eine Bitte zum Schluss:
Hat Ihnen meine Erfahrung weiter geholfen? Dann würde ich mich über das Drücken des entsprechenden Knopfes freuen. Prinzipiell ein super verarbeitetes Kabel. Es gibt keine Kontaktprobleme, die Stecker sitzen fest und sicher. Das Problem tritt nur auf, wenn der Stecker erst gar nicht richtig rein geht...

Gekauft wurde es zum Laden eines Samsung Smartphones im Auto. Diese Aufgabe meistert das Kabel mit Bravur, sofern es in das zu ladende Gerät passt.
Ist das Smartphone "pur", klappt es fehlerfrei. Steckt das Smartphone aber in einer Schutzhülle, kann es zu Kontaktproblemen kommen, da der Stecker (Micro-USB) zu "wuchtig" ist.

28AWG ist kein besonders grosser Durchmesser. 26AWG/2C wäre deutlich besser (28AWG/1P ist für diese Länge OK.. )
Also viel Plastik anstatt Kupfer ... dafürt ist es rel. weich.

Der Mikro-USB-B-Stecker mässig klobig, es gibt dickere, aber auch kleinere, elegantere:
8,4x10,6x23,5mm resp. 28,1mm mit Knick-Hülse
5,5mm Steckerlänge.
Stecker Schirm sieht vergoldet aus.
Die Öffnung in Mikrostecker-Kunststoff ist leicht angefaast. Das schont den Geräte-Einsatz.
Die äusseren Kontakte sind klar "voreilend" postioniert, so sollte es sein..
Zur Lebensdauer kann ich noch nichts sagen.

Da das Kabel rund aufgewickelt geliefert wird, wenig Kupfer enthält, relativ weich ist, liegt es sehr schön ausgerollt.

Punktabzug wg. des sehr vielen Plastiks und wenigen Kupfers im Kabel und den grossen Steckern. (Es gibt aber noch grössere).

lasts 2 years at most, and according to amazon that is normal acceptable lifespan for it.

i bought 3 AmazonBasics usb cables over different times.

first became loose after 18 months and now only works if held down.

2nd is still going strong, and was shortest in length.

3rd became loose and stopped working unless held down after 2months.

according to amazon 2 years is an acceptable lifespan for this product so they told me to talk to the manufacturer.

here's a clue, the manufacturer of AmazonBasics cable is surprise surprise amazon themselves.

so i get back to them. they apologise, agree to refund. 5 minutes later they say ignore the previous email, 2 years is an acceptable lifespan for a usb cable and refuse.

so my advice don't buy AmazonBasics products. amazon won't stand by them.

p.s. i offered to return the original cable to amazon, so their wouldn't be any doubt over the issue throughout the entire conversation.

Weak external rubber jacket, only use infrequently or at taut lengths

For a two-pack of basic USB-Micros, it isn't a bad package, but the cable jackets are physically frail and depending on how you use them, they won't last long.

If you have them charging or connecting something that stays on the floor, you should be alright. However, if you're using the micro end on something that's stored at a higher elevation than the power outlet / computer / console etc then the cable jacket will start to fray and expose the wiring very quickly; the bulky 'amazon basics' part on the micro end adds extra pressure.

I used this cable to charge my phone daily, with my phone laid on a nightstand higher than the power outlet. I also used it to connect my PS4 controller to my PC, and even holding the controller around chest height exerted strain on the micro end of the jacket. Within a couple months, the jacket had started to break apart.

They're cheap, and you get two of them. If you use it for specific circumstances, they'll do well. But you really do get what you pay for and you might be better off investing in a more durable, versatile cable or two instead.

Whilst these leads are marked "Amazon Basics" I have found them in the past to be very good solid quality. I had some problems with a USB 3 lead I ordered some time back and replaced it with one of the AB versions and it was perfect and a lot cheaper. Despite the assumption that it is going to be worse quality than more expensive offerings it appears that this is not so.
I now actively look for these when I want a replacement lead and so far all (I've had 3 now) have been excellent.

I'm also going to add as other reviewers have said that these have pretty chunky surrounds so they may not be suitable for all devices. This particular cable was not bought for mobile phone charging and that is perhaps where I'd see a possible problem with some models. Particularly if you have a case which may interfere with it being plugged all the way in then get something slimmer.

I wanted an extended cable which would allow me to use my phone in bed. The original was only 1 metre which was just too short. I got one of those flat coloured 2 metre cables from Amazon but the connector was a little too tight to fit the phone socket and although it charged the phone, it wouldn't sync. As it was only 2 quid and came with a stylus, I didn't bother to return it.
After looking at the various cables, I decided on this one and I am glad that I did.
This cable is thicker than the original by about 25%, (thicker means more strands and better quality wire inside) is more flexible and fits the socket of my Note 3 clone phone securely. Being a flexible cable means that it will not kink unless you are a slovenly, untidy person who was dragged up, rather than being brought up to look after your things.
This is a good quality cable which even has the Amazon logo embossed on the plugs, which means that you can feel which way to plug in the correct way without having to look.
If you want a top quality cable for your expensive phone, this is it!

It took some debating whether I should purchase this product because it is very expensive for a cable in this day and age. I don't regret purchasing this product it should be more priced around the £4.50 mark. The Amazon logo on the micro usb connector doesn't look right but the logo on the main connector is fine. The gold plate is a nice touch but does wear off over time. The fact that it comes with a 1 year warranty is very good and allows me to use this cable more because the pins inside the cable often wear out with other cables. The cable is missing that nice snap in feel and can come out easily if knocked. It also charges my items quicker than my other cables probably because it is higher quality and surprisingly longer but not overly long. The wire is really nice quality and thick without and edges. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another one if it breaks outside of my 1 year warranty. This cable has served me well. It didn't get the full 5* because of the high price.

There's not much else I can say about a cable.
