Ich habe fast zwei Monate recherchiert. Es sollte von 24 auf 27 Zoll gehen, von HD auf WQHD. IPS,144hz und eventuell G-sync für den neuen PC mit GeForce 1080. G-sync beginnt mit 3-4 Geräte für 640bis 800 Euro. Das wollte ich dann doch nicht. Bei allen möglichen Modellen mit IPS habe ich viel negatives gelesen von backlightbleeding, Clouding und Banding etc. Manche haben ja bis zu 4 Mal den gleichen Monitor bestellt und zurück gesendet. Ich habe ihn hier bei Amazon bestellt und kein einziges Manko hat der gute Bursche. Gleichmäßig ausgeleuchtet, Top bei Spielen wie Black Ops 4, Battlefield V... Schrift beim Surfen oder Word einwandfrei. Ich habe scheinbar Glück gehabt. Bei meinem Samsung 65 Zoll Premium UHD für 3000 nicht. Da kotze ich heut noch wenn fast der komplette Bildschirm aufleuchtet bei dunklen Szenen...

Habe diesen Monitor mit IPS-Panel als Kompromiss zwischen Gaming- und Office/Grafik-Monitor gewählt.

*Gaming*
Für diesen Anwendungsfall ohne große Einschränkungen zu empfehlen. Natürlich etwas langsamer als ein TN-Panel, aber gerade im 144Hz Modus recht angenehm.

*Office/Grafik*
Hier wurde ich leider überhaupt nicht glücklich:
Die ungleichmäßige Helligkeits- und Farbverteilung war extrem nervig. Weiße Flächen hatten unterschiedliche Farbtöne. Dazu kam eine leichte Abschattung der linken und rechten Ränder über mehrere Millimeter.
Die im OSD gewählten Gamma-Einstellungen passten nicht zu den tatsächlich dargestellten.

*Fazit*
Für Gaming gut, für Office und farbkritische Anwendungen nicht zu empfehlen. Ggf. kann man hier mit Hardware zur Farbkalibrierung noch etwas rausholen.

Eigentlich ein super Monitor...

Ich hatte zuvor den Acer XB271HU/A? (IPS + G-Sync) für kurze Zeit gehabt.

Nachdem der XB271 die typischen Probleme hatte in Kombination des Preises wegen des G-Sync Moduls, hab ich nach Alternativen gesucht, bevorzugt Freesync um zu testen ob ich Adaptive Sync überhaupt brauche.
(ICH kann ganz gut ohne, besitze allerdings auch die entsprechende Hardware um hohe Frames zu pushen).

Ich bemerkte schnell das die beiden doch sehr unterschiedlich sind von Adaptive Sync mal abgesehen. Dieses Modell besitzt nur 8-bit anstatt der 8-bit + FRC. Das ist wichtig da ich schnell merkte das Colour Banding ein Problem ist welches beim anderen nicht so wahr, denn hier viel es mir auf.

Die Farben sind außerdem auch nicht so dynamisch wie beim anderen, sie sind bemerkbar schwächer. Vor allem da dies das wichtigste für mich ist, da ich bereits von einem 1080p 144hz TN komme.

Es ist wichtig zu erwähnen das ich allgemein mit IPS-Glow kein Problem mehr habe. Die Vorteile eines IPS sind einfach mir viel wichtiger als mich über sowas weiterhin aufzuregen (Der XF270 hat nur in unteren rechten Ecke ein starkes leuchten, dies fällt mir somit weniger auf). Umso mehr störte mich doch das Banding leider sehr, da ich dies beim zocken doch zu sehr wahrnehme im Vergleich.

Im großen und ganzen, wenn man den Preis mitbedenkt, ist dieser Monitor eigentlich schon ein tolles Teil. Da ich das Banding doch zu sehr bemerke allerdings, werde ich mir einen Monitor mit FRC holen.

Mir war das deswegen so wichtig dieses Review zu verfassen, da kaum bis gar keiner dieses Problem anspricht oder es wahrscheinlich nicht wie im meinem Falle es besser kannte.

Ich hoffe dennoch sehr das es dem einen oder anderen Suchenden weiterhilft. Das auch Ihr euren perfekten Monitor findet.

Man mus sdie Rezessionen hier kritisch FIltern da hier
Äpfel und Birnen in einen Paneltopf geworfen werden.
Natürlich ein IPS lässt sich nicht mit einem TN vergleichen und entsprechend fallen die Rezessionen auch
unterschiedlich aus.
Ich kann die IPS Variante beurteilen: Farblich sehr gut, wir kommen hier auf eine sRGB von 99% einem sehr sauberen Schwarzwert. Ein Glow ist mir bis dato nicht aufgefallen (wenn sehr gering, Standardgemäßg im unteren Rechten Eck).
Kein IPS-Glitzern. Die Reaktionszeit hervorragend.
Viel wichtiger er ist Grafik-Tauglich und muss sich vor dem hier kalibrierten NEC-Grafikmonitor nicht verstecken. Natürlich kein direkter Vergleich aber Spitzenwerte für einen IPS im Preissektor der Hälfte als zum NEC.

Sofern sich die Tage kein heftiger Glow oder Pixelfehler herauskristalisieren(...ganz flach) wird habe ich endlich die Kombination Gaming und Grafik gefunden!

Eigentlich ein toller Monitor

... doch leider fehlt eine entscheidende Einstellung im Konfigurationsmenü: die Schärfe! Das Bild zeigt tolle Farben, Schlieren gibt es nicht. Aber alle Texte sehen im Vergleich zu meinem alten Dell so aus, als wäre jemand mit dem Weichzeichner drüber gegangen. Der Wechsel von Displayport auf HDMI brachte keine Veränderung, auch der Einbau einer Radeon-Grafikkarte statt einer Geforce und Herumspielen an den Treibern haben nichts daran geändert. Das ist schade, da der Monitor sonst alles bietet, ohne dieses überladene Gamer-Design mitzubringen.

PS. Es gibt zwar einen Super-Schärfe-Modus, der erzeugt bei mir aber Bildfehler. Alles grau wird zu schwarz und ein roter Streifen durchzieht vertikal das Bild. Bitte Acer - baut einen Regler für Schärfe ein fünf Schritten ein, mehr braucht es nicht. :)

First one was DOA. Easily returned. Second one had terrible backlight even after I seen it suggested to give it time to 'break in'. Unsure if I want to try again or move onto another monitor. I might even move away from IPS/AVHA.

I must commend Amazon on how easy it is to return a package from Ireland. I just repackaged everything the way it came and put the return label over the shipping label on the box and gave it over to the nice people at the post office. Job done.

The monitor itself seems great. The bezel is tiny but there is still a small black band around the screen but that is also small. The tilt, height and swivel all work with an easy pressure but the monitor remains sturdy in use. On bright games/media it's a really nice looking screen and freesync really helped with the absurd tearing in games like PUBG and pCars.

If you can get this monitor without any bleed or glow then it would be a no-brainer for all types of media. I'm just unlucky so far.

Great monitor for competitive gaming

Never owned a gaming monitor before. Always used a TV. Been using a 50" for the last two years to play Battlefield on the Xbox one X. The difference is instant.

In terms of lag and response time, you definitely notice a difference. Not as majorly as people make out but competitively playing, it's worth it. I done a LOT of research on the best bang for your buck monitor. Hours of YouTube and reputable comparison tech sites and fell on this. In addition to competitive gaming, playing the like of Tomb Raider on 2K with a 120hz refresh is a dream (120 is the max xbox one x supports). It also supports freesync which xbox one x supports so that makes a diffence. Seen it in action.

The only thing I would mention is I thought there was an option to play 1080p at 120hz (144) but there isn't. It either has to be 2K at 120hz or 1080p at 60hz. As it has freesync though, it brings the 60hz up to 144 when playing in 1080p. So it's no biggy. I would actually recommend playing in 1080p competitively as I feel I've noticed a difference where 1080p is quicker. Saying that, the clarity and colours on 2K also gives you an advantage. I would recommend on a shooter playing 1080p when you're close quarters and 2K if you're playing as a sniper for example.

The sound isn't great. Like not at all. Get a headset if you don't have one. The stand is sturdy and very well designed. You can use your pinky to swivel and move it up and down. No glare issues in a well lit room. You might get some from a window but haven't tried it.

So yeah very impressed. I thought I might have wasted my money but I'm happy I bought it.

Gorgeous monitor arrived today and first thing I noticed was the superb build quality, in the box I found 1x DVI-D cable 1x Display port cable, 1x 3.5mm jack adapter 1x USB cable adapter and 1x user manual in addition to the mount/monitor.
The package arrived safe and and sound from the Amazon with no damage, the monitor has been tested by me for dead pixels, I found none. And also I have tested for black light bleed which is common in IPS monitors, I encountered some black-light bleed in the bottom right corner but that would be my only fault with this monitor.
As for picture quality the screen is a massive upgrade from the 21" 1080p display I had from AOC, the colours are accurate, the brightness is really strong, the interface is great and easy for changing the settings within the monitor, and the 144hz refresh rate is silky smooth when browsing the internet or playing video games.
The included built-in speakers are actually pretty decent and have a little bass to them which also surprised me.

I'd have to give this this a monitor a 9/10 for value of money, -1 for the backlight bleed but that's just the luck of the draw.

Note that this does not come with HDMI cable. It appears to be on an unfavourable setting out of the box but easily adjustable. Set it back to standard and good to go

No dead/ stuck pixels visible. There are some marks on the back which is not visible from the front anyway. Overall satisfied with this panel. Switched from a 1080p FHD 15" laptop and honestly overwhelmed. At £380, there's no going back

Did lots of research, read lots of reviews and decided what was important. This monitor isn't cheap but it is very good. I got it at £403, soon after it went up by £90. If you want a 27", 2560x1440 IPS monitor with goods features and great picture quality, I can recommend. Freesync but not G-Sync compatible (at the moment). Probably best with an AMD GPU but works well enough with my NVIDIA card.
