At the beginning of 2020, Dr. Peter McCullough was a highly regarded practicing physician, program director, teacher, and clinical investigator at a major academic medical center in Dallas, Texas. When Covid-19 arrived in March, he felt a duty to find a treatment for the disease. He wasn't alone. Other doctors all over the world were also searching for a cure. They followed the longstanding principle that it's best to tackle a sickness early, before it becomes life threatening. This is the story of how Dr. McCullough and his colleagues developed an early treatment protocol of generic, repurposed drugs and supplements that has saved millions of Covid-19 patients from hospitalization and death.

In spite of their success, their early treatment protocol was not welcomed by public health officials. On the contrary, the news of their promising results was dismissed as soon as it was reported. At first, this seemed like conventional skepticism, but then fraudulent papers maligning the protocol's repurposed drugs were published in academic medical journals. This and other acts of fraud revealed that a coordinated smear campaign against early treatment was being waged.

Dr. McCullough and his colleagues soon found themselves censured, censored, attacked in the media, and fired from their jobs. The greatest victims of the smear campaign were Covid-19 patients who were consequently deprived of early treatment. Hundreds of thousands needlessly died of the disease.

At the same time early treatment was suppressed, the US government and mainstream media proclaimed that the cure to COVID-19 lay in a new generation of vaccines that were being developed at warp speed. These were heralded as a forthcoming panacea that would save mankind and restore normalcy. As soon as they were deployed, public officials would lift all restrictions.

    I have read several books on issues surrounding the dystopian management of the SARS CoV-2 pandemic and COVID-19 that has been forced upon us by the medical establishment and our governments. They've been written by people who have been involved directly in the fight against the dystopia afflicting medicine and healthcare (among other areas) in the world today. And I'd say that most, and in fact all, were excellent. However, I think I can say also that this is the most compelling discourse on the topic(s) that I've read so far.

    The writing is clear and impactful, while the story behind Dr. McCullough's travails reveal a modern day hero fighting for the betterment of our collective wellbeing. Sadly, he amongst others has been punished savagely by others for his support of early outpatient therapy for COVID, as well as his growing concerns about the COVID vaccines. I note that initially Dr. McCullough was rather in support of the vaccines for use in the highest risk people but even here he began to see the dangers and had to change his mind.

    Unfortunately, and as is described very clearly and with appropriate references, he was attacked by people who are incapable of critical thought or even worse, whose thought processes were purchased by the highest bidder (Pharma?) and who therefore attacked anything he might say that might reduce the market for the poorly studied 'vaccines' as well as for other therapeutics, most notably, Remdesivir, that have been imposed on an unsuspecting public. Eventually, everyone will see that Dr McCullough is on the right side of history. This said, one can only pray that his foes will face a long-overdue reckoning. To reiterate, Dr McCullough is a hero. This book and his story are a must read in my opinion.

    Thank God there are people like Dr McCullough and the excellent writing style of John Leake made such a sobering topic an excellent read. As for the information, I got more although I have been following Dr Peter McCullough since 2021, I will call him a saviour of humanity.

Abused by medical centres and research organisations that he had led for decades, stripped of his considerable credentials, Peter continued to serve patients, told people the truth and most importantly, did not break.     I have read a lot about Covid-19, not only the official information with all its contradictions, but also censored information on social media and private or public channels. So I knew quite some details about McCullough's (and all the others') fight for early treatments. Nevertheless, this book was an eye opener. It's written like a crime novel, bringing all the rigorous details into a coherent timeline. The result is a terrifying picture of today's situation of corruption and power games played by Big Pharma and the world's overlords. McCullough and all the other heroes mentioned in this book really deserve our support.
