Liebe Leser, hier ist Selbstbeherrschung angesagt; möchte man es als Proteinsnack innerhalb einer Diät nutzen, sollte man auch den reinen Brennwert im Auge behalten, sonst ist die Tagesbilanz am A....
Für alle anderen "Nichtvegetarier", freut euch auf einen extrem geilen Chips-Ersatz, der aber locker genauso starken Nachbrand verursacht.

PS: An die Verpackbande: Bitte keine Herzchen in den Karton malen, das muss man erstmal seiner besseren Hälfte erklären! 🤣

Gestern kam meine erste Lieferung (2 x 500g) und ein Beutel ist schon fast leer. Teufelszeug ;-) Kenne das "Original" und wollte mal sehen, ob sich da geschmacklich und von der Konsistenz her was unterscheidet. Außer das es bei dieser Version im Schweinefleisch handelt waren die Dörrfleischstreifen BBQ ein Genuss. Dummerweise hat mein Sohn nun auch Geschmack daran gefunden... ;-)

Ja ich schreibe die Bewertung nur deswegen weil da so ein süßes Herzchen im Versand Karton aufgemalt war :)

Leider macht das Zeug irgendwie süchtig... Ich habe nun schon 2 kg von dem pork jerky hinter mir...

Der honey mustard Geschmack.. Naja... Der erste Eindruck das erste schnüffeln in der tüte sagte mir das riecht wie Bienenwachs... Was ich jetzt nicht negativ empfinde... Nach 2 Stück war ich dann überzeugt davon das die lecker sind..

Klar sie sind süß und Senf kommt nicht wirklich zum arg zum Vorschein aber sie schmecken dennoch sehr gut.

Relativ weich und gut zu kauen. Man findet aber ab und zu mal ein Stück welches richtig hart und nicht kaubar ist... Wie gesagt... Relativ selten und ich habe schon 2kg durchgekaut :D

Mir persönlich schmeckt das herzhafte bbq definitiv besser und diese werde ich mir auch wider bestellen, wer es gerne etwas süßer mag ist hier richtig.

Was mir noch in der geschmacksrange fehlt ist sweet & spicy... Oder so Thai mäßig was.. Curry???... Eher was mit scharf.. Vielleicht habe ich ja Glück und da kommt mal was leckeres herzhaft süßes scharfes oder so

Also, für mich war das leider ein Fehlkauf. Ich habe festes Jerky erwartet, schön steinhart hab ich es am Liebsten. Die Farbe kenne ich nur in dunkelrot, wie getrocknetes Fleisch eben aussieht. Leider war mir nicht bewusst, dass das bestellte Jerky nicht komplett durch getrocknet wurde. Es ist weich, dunkelrosa, aber weit davon entfernt durchgetrocknet zu sein. Von der Konsistenz erinnert es mich eher an eine Salami. Auch sind die Stücke recht dick geschnitten, was mich nicht stört, aber durch die weiche Konsistenz nur noch mehr ein Wurstgefühl beim Essen hervorruft.
Auch ist hier grobkörniges Gewürz verwendet worden, was ich persönlich jetzt nicht so mag. Nicht wegen dem Geschmack, der ist ok, sondern weil es halt nicht „pures“ Jerky ist und die Gewürzverteilung bei jedem Stück variiert. Wobei, das jetzt echt meckern auf hohem Niveau ist :)
Ich hab jetzt mal einen großen Batzen zum nachtrocknen in den Ofen gepackt, mal gucken ob das was wird.

Geschmäcker sind einfach verschieden, der hier hat meinen leider nicht getroffen.
Lieferung war super schnell und der Preis ist in Ordnung. Jerky sind leider immer teuer.

Wer gerne etwas "jerky" haben möchte und dabei nicht unbedingt das "Beef" dazu will (aus Geschmack oder auch Geldgründen), der findet in dem hiesigen Pork Jerkya eine günstige aber auch leckere Alternative. Dies in einem großem Multipack (hat aber auch Nachteile). Vorab: Geschmacklich finde ich es zwar an sich gut, aber nicht sehr gut oder gar perfekt...

Geliefert werden die abgebildeten zwei Pork Jerky Packungen im knallroten Verpackungen mit Wiederverschluss.

*** Geschmack
BBQ ist nicht gleich BBQ und so habe ich schon Varianten probiert, die mir geschmacklich mehr zugesagt haben als diese Variante. Zudem finde ich sie etwas salzig, zu salzig für meinen Geschmack.

*** Form
Sowohl kleine als auch größere Stückchen formen ein homogenes Gesamtbild, das überzeugt.

*** Verpackung
Der Vorteil der Verpackung - die schiere Größe und der damit verbundene geringe Kilopreis sind gleichzeitig auch etwas nachteilig anzusehen. Auf Dauer beim mehrmaligen Öffnen zieht der Inhalt etwas Umgebungsfeuchtigkeit und das merkt man auch

Für den Preis finde ich sie in Ordnung. Ich persönlich werde jedoch diese Variante nicht erneut kaufen, hierfür überzeugen sie mich geschmacklich nicht ausreichend. Da werde ich wohl mich nach anderen Pork Jerky umsehen müssen bzw. vielleicht doch zum klassischen Beef Jerky schwenken...

Leider ist die Tüte weiß und nicht rot, wie abgebildet - aber das ist so ziemlich das einzige, was ich daran aussetzen kann. Die Verpackung, da wiederverschließbar, lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig.

Das Jerky selbst, die Hauptsache, ist nach den ersten paar Stücken ebenfalls sehr gut. In Konsistenz auf demselben Level wie das bekannte "Jack Links Beef Jerky", d.h. zarter und komfortabler zu kauen als anderes Beef Jerky oder Beef Biltong und auch mit ~3-5mm recht dicke, gehaltvolle Streifen, aber trotzdem gut zu beißen.

Ich würde es nicht unbedingt zu größeren Wanderungen mitnehmen, aber als Snack im Alltag sind Salzgehalt und Würzung ausgewogen und lecker bisher.

Schmeckt natürlich etwas anders als Beef, aber das liegt in der Natur der Sache und dafür ist es auch günstiger als gleichwertiges Beef Jerky, bei vergleichbarer, hoher Qualität und aus deutscher Schlachtung.
