Ich habe auf dem Mainboard keine USB3.0 Anschlüsse, also hab ich mir mit einem Controller an einem Steckplatz beholfen. Alte USB2.0-Anschlüsse an der Oberseite des Desktop-Rechners hab ich ausgebaut und diese hier eingeklebt (Schraubenhalterung zu konstruieren wäre zu aufwändig und umständlich gewesen, und unnötig, da ich sowieso nicht mehr zurücktauschen würde. Die Steckkarte war leider genau auf der anderen Seite, also ganz unten im Gehäuse verbaut. Die Kabel haben über die fette Grafikkarte gerade so ausgereicht. also 2 cm länger hätte schon etwas geholfen, aber geht auch so. Bin bisher zufrieden und kann nun leicht erreichbar schnelle USB-Sticks und -Festplatten nutzen und bequem anstecken.

Diese Rezension bezieht sich auf das zweifach Kabel USB3 mit internem USB Motherboard-Anschluss. Das Kabel ersetzt bei mir die Anschlüsse in der Frontblende. Mein älteres Arctic Gehäuse, dass ich immer noch sehr mag konnte somit von USB1 auf neue Anschlüsse USB3 umgerüstet werden. Kurzer Test ergab die gleiche Geschwindigkeit, wie die fest verbauten USB3 Anschlüsse auf der Rückseite. Klar, dass ist simple Technik, aber die Qualität ist sehr gut. Der interne USB Stecker sitzt fest auf dem Motherboard. Würde ich wieder kaufen.

I purchased 2 of these by mistake instead of 1 that I needed. I do not trust Chinese USB cables because a Chinese USB 3.0 cable destroyed/shorted power to ground in the PCIe USB 3.0/SATA card needed to provide USB/SATA 6Gb on an older X48 Chipset PC. That cable was labelled as tested but it clearly was never tested.

I now always check USB cables to make sure that they do not have any connection faults therefore I checked these cables with a multimeter and some USB 3.0 connectors that I purchased in order to check USB 3.0 cables before connecting them. 2 cables and both had connection faults which were not as serious as shorting power to ground but still connection faults all the same.

BTW it was a long time after purchase that I needed to use these cables and too late to return them.

For some reason one of the two front panel usb ports on my pc case stopped working. Proved this to the cable and started looking for a replacement. An OEM part was technically available but super expensive. This cable has brought the USB ports back to life. I did have to modify the usb sockets to make them fit the panel, but that is no fault of the cable. The plug into the motherboard was also a better fit than the original and hence more secure. Great product.
