Leider ist mein Magnat 201A nach 6 Jahren kaputt gegangen. In zahlreichen HiFi Foren wurde dieser Subwoofer hier empfohlen. Er sollte sich in ein 5.1. System einfügen. (AVR: Denon X1000, Front: Canton GLE, Back: Magnat Satelliten, Center: Canton GLE.)
Die Qualität des Gehäuses wirkt (auf mich) nicht sonderlich hoch. Die Schalt und Steckelemente auf der Rückseite sind von sehr guter Qualität. Eingemessen wurde der Subwoofer durch einen Denon X1000. Das Denon Einmesssystem ist bekanntermaßen einfach zu händeln und klappte bis jetzt einwandfrei - wie auch in diesem Fall des Subwoofers. Der Klang bzw die Kraft des Subs war allerdings nur beim Einmessen zu hören und zu spüren. Er konnte mich, nach dem erfolgreichen Einmessen in keiner Situation (Film oder Musik) beeindrucken. Egal wie ich auch die Frequenz und Volumen Regler veränderte.
Der Subwoofer ging aus diesen Gründen zurück und ich bin weiter auf der Suche nach adäquatem Ersatz für meinen defekten 201A.

Magnat Alpha RS 8, active subwoofer with 200 mm membrane and up to 160 watts of power
The Magnat Alpha RS 8 offers a 200mm (8") high-power long-stroke woofer in the bass reflex housing that has two Airflex ports. The integrated Class D amplifier delivers 80 watts permanently, the peak power is an impressive 160 watts. In the sum of its qualities, the built-in technology allows the RS8 to reproduce frequencies down to 25 Hz. The amplifier electronics allow you to control volume, transition frequency and phase and thus allows optimal adaptation to the room acoustics.
The solid MDF case is available in either black ash or a mocha colour. In the case of the RS8, it is very compact with a width of 260 mm and a height of 350 mm. The standard fabric cover can be removed with one hand and then releases the view of the impressive bass chassis.

Struttura solida, potenza notevole e suono bello corposo (raccomandato su diversi siti di specialisti). Alla fine mi sono deciso e l ho preso...e cavolo se ho fatto bene.
Qui non parliamo di un prodotto nato oer "fare casino" ma di uno strumento che, nonostante la potenza notevole (devo tenerlo a metá o vibrano le pareti), ti migliora la profonditá dell impianto.
