Its fans don't go completely silent, but the resulting noise is barely noticeable.
Für alle anderen mal mein Set UP:
Intelcore I7 4600k / Corsair Wasserkühlung
32gb Arbeitsspeicher mit 3200MHZ
500GB SSD
Zotac GTX1080 10P
Acer Predator X34 Monitor
Habe Mir Die Zotac GTX ZT-P1080B-10P am 31.08.2017 gekauft da mein alte GTX970 OC Mir zu langsam geworden ist.
PC:
Windous 10 64Bit
I7 6700K tunig Lüfter
Arbeitsspeicher 16GB DDR4 2400
MSI Gamig PRO Carbon Moonboard Z170A
SSD 250GB + HDD 2TB
Netzteil EMERMAX 650 Watt
Monitor LG 34UM68-P mit 21/9 2560x1080 Pixel + (Panasonic TV 4K 3840x2160 HDR)
Habe die Grafikkarte getestet bei einer Auflösung 2560x1080 ! + (4K TV 3840x2160)
Spiel wie Battlefield 1 , Fallout 4, Project Cars, Dirt 4........... gehen mit Maxmal einstehlung ohne Porblem.
FPS Spiel test bei 2560x1080 im Durchschnitt:
Battlefiel 1 120 FPS
Fallout 4 60FPS bei 60% Grafikauslastung
Project Cars 60 FPS
Dirt 4 140 FPS
FPS Spiel test bei 4K 3840x2160 HDR :
Battlefiel 1 Min 56 FPS Max 70 FPS (Spiel Stand 20.9.17)
Dirt 4 Max 80 FPS

However.
Im currently in the process of having to shop for a new card due to my second replacement card developing a fault within 3 months of installation. Its more than just a coincidence now.
Firstly, a big 6 stars to amazon for its amazing support with the issues ive faced, they couldnt have been more helpful.
Long story short:
First card brought at its prime, Early 2017 (Start of Feb). By june, the cards coil whine had gone from a whistle to a high pitched screaming anytime it was put under load. No noticeable performance drop, nor did the card heat up, but the sound was louder than the ingame sounds and led to me not playing anything to avoid the awful noise it made.
Following a bit of research it became apparent that this was a re-occurring problem with quite a few of the cards and got worse progressively over time.
Contact amazon who arranged a replacement card which was swiftly swapped in with the faulty card.
Fast forward to today, where another of the cards frequent issues has occured, the fan has begun revving with the sound of scraping plastic hitting the fan everytime it powers above 30%. Again this is a widely documented issue which doing a simple google search made apparent.
Amazon are now refunding my card, which is great news for me.
But bad news for zotac, i spent the first few months screaming about how good this card was and how happy i was with its performance to be let down twice now by this card. Looking into their 1080ti offerings, not only do they agree that the start stop tech used on the 1080 was badly performing (and hence has been left off their 1080ti cards) but issues with fan scraping still exists.
Take my advice. Buyer beware on this one, it will rear its ugly head within months despite the 5 year warranty.
The only letdown is the semi-passive fan stopping feature, which has not been implemented correctly. The fans themselves cannot run under 30% PWM - so when the card heats up to 60 degrees, instead of gently starting the fans they get ramped up to something stupid like 50% (because the card tries to start them at low RPM, but it cannot), which then cools the card back below the 60 degree threshold and the fans stop. Immediately after, the fans ramp up again, just to stop a few seconds later - and so on.
This is solvable by manually overriding the lower RPM threshold to 30%, meaning that the fans never stop so there is no ramp up issue (which gives roughly 900 RPM in idle, which is not loud, but inaudible in an otherwise quiet PC). Nevertheless, this should not be a problem in an (almost) top-of-the range model.
Comes overclocked out of the box and using with Asus 4K 28" Monitor. Blows all my games out of the water with top settings and can't wait to see what it can do with the pending Call of Duty World Ward 2.
Use it with my Oculus Rift with no issues. In fact, I've tweaked visual power on Oculus with no issues from Graphics card.
Still room for more overclocking but I intend to leave as is. Comes with great RGB lights programmable. Ensure you have enough power points and PSU power to handle the job. I had to buy mine for £599 from here but price fluctuates. It dropped £30 immediately after I bought so keep an eye on the price!!!!!!!
Happy gaming!
This is a huge card at about 330mm long. It occupies 2 and a half slots.
Fitting is straightforward, except that card is so wide (thick), it is fiddly to get access the catch on the end of the PCI x 16 slot. It is heavy so secure the screws in the rear panel mounts tightly. I may fit a bracket to support the end because of the card dropping, which can't be good for the x 16 PCI slot.
Performance is amazing. Forget your Nintendos, Wiis, PS etc, this produces better graphics, and finding a game that can fully utilise the immense power in this card is the issue. Games that were crashing due to lack of GP processing memory are working perfectly.
I don't tend to OC GPUs. This card comes with OC software that is easy to use, but what is the point? This card is legendary. Stress testing through Heaven, on the max settings returned an average FPS of >118. Why overclock with that sort of score?
Warranty looks good. Register on the Zotac site and you get an additional few years to the warranty provided by Amazon.
It is quiet for day to day computing with the fans only kicking in when needed.
Just for comparison, I upgraded from the Gigabyte Windforce OC GTX 780 ti (still a brilliant card). The Zotac seems to me to be at least three times as fast. Brilliant, brilliant GPU.
One last thing i would like to add is when this was delivered something went wrong and i received a picnic blanket :( I was very upset when i opened the box and was expecting a nice shiny gtx 1080 to find a picnic blanket, i had steam coming out of my ears and my heart skipped a beat as i paid through a debit card and had no paypal to fall back on. I contacted Amazon online and within 5 minutes of me explaining the problem another one was despatched and arrived the very next day phew i was relieved. Just make sure you buy it from Amazon like i did, they went up in my expectations after that and i actually order more from them now.
