The HDMI source is indicated via EDID, which sound formats are supported. You can manually set this on the distributor and thus force an output in stereo, 5.1 or 7.1 tone.

HDMI audio only output.

HD audio such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X can only be transmitted via HDMI. However, many HD audio systems are not yet compatible with Ultra HD video or HDR video signals. This distributor helps. The special HDMI audio output of the distributor is emitted with a black image. So your audio system does not need to process video.

    Digitaler Ton mit der Xbox Series X am älteren Receiver
    Ich habe einen älteren Denon Receiver, der das 4K Signal der Xbox Series X nicht vernünftig durchschleift. Da die Xbox Series X keinen optischen Digitalausgang mehr hat, habe ich eine Lösung gesucht und gefunden. Denn dieser Splitter hat neben dem optischen Digitalausgang auch einen HDMI Audio Ausgang, der HD Audio unterstützt. Das 4K Bild wird durch den Splitter ohne Einschränkungen durchgeschliffen (es ist in der Xbox Konfiguration nur das geixt, was auch bei einer direkten HDMI Verbindung von Xbox und TV geixt wäre. Eine echt günstige Alternative, wenn man sich nicht gleich einen neuen AVR zulegen möchte.

      Finetech Audio Extractor, eine feine Sache, dieser Finetech, ich bin verliebt!

      Genau dieses Produkt habe ich gesucht und es erfüllt meine Erwartungen vollkommen! Wirklich genial! Endlich kann ich den Fire TV Cube 4K direkt per HDMI-Kabel (Audio Extractor zwischengeschaltet) mit meinem 85“ 4K TV verbinden und Prime Video in 4K Auflösung genießen, auf der anderen Seite Dolby+/Atmos in 7.1, ebenfalls via HDMI, an meinen etwas älteren AVR senden, der auf Grund des Alters den Kopierschutzes HDCP 2.2 sonst nicht verarbeiten kann (bisher blieb nur die Alternative, den Fire direkt mit dem TV zu verbinden und „nur“ Dolby Digital via ARC vom TV zum AVR zurückzuspielen…)

      Einen weiteren Vorteil bietet das Gerät zusätzlich. Bisher hatte ich einen Echo und einen Fire-Stick an dem AVR, diese beiden Geräte wurden nun durch den Fire Cube ersetzt. Doch damit nur Musik hören, ohne den TV anzuschalten, funktioniert zumindest mit SONY-TV's nicht, da diese wohl im Standby ein Problem mit Wakeup-Events haben, worauf der AVR (Heimkino-Receiver) alle paar Sekunden mit Tonaussetzern reagiert. Leider kann man im Fire Cube HDMI-Ton und Ton via Bluetooth nicht gleichzeitig aktivieren und das Umschalten im Menü ist sehr umständlich. Hier habe ich nun zus. ein optisches Kabel vom Finetech Audio Extractor zu einem freien Eingang am AVR gelegt, Resultat: ohne jedwedes umschalten am Fire oder dem Finetech-Gerät habe ich das Audiosignal gleichzeitig in Stereo per optischer Verbindung und per HDMI im Raumklang am Receiver. Der TV kann somit zum Musik hören aus bleiben, wenn ich den optischen Eingang am AVR wähle. Perfekt, 100 Sterne!

      Leider funktioniert der HDMI HD-Audio Extractor nicht so wie erwartet, jedenfalls nicht mit meinem TV Sony KD 65 AF8.
      Der HDMI HD-Audio Extractor wird vom TV als Audiosystem erkannt, allerdings können beide Geräte nicht miteinander Kommunizieren deshalb gibt es eine Fehlermeldung „Kommunikationsproblem“ mit Audiosystem. Mein eigentlicher AV-Receiver wird nicht mehr erkannt und komplett vom TV ignoriert. Wegen dem Kommunikationsproblems wird vom TV kein ARC mehr herausgegeben und der Ton kommt nur noch über die TV Lautsprecher, somit ist der Sinn dieses Gerätes verfehlt. Bei einem an den HDMI HD-Audio Extractor angeschlossenen Gerätes, funktioniert die Trennung des Audiosignals schon aber es wird leider kein ARC Ton vom TV ausgegeben „Kommunikationsproblem“. Erst wenn der HDMI HD-Audio Extractor entfernt wird, wird mein AV-Receiver wieder erkannt alles funktioniert wie vorher. Eigentlich schade, denn die Idee dieses Gerätes ist gut. Vielleicht funktioniert es ja mit einem anderen TV, ich beziehe mich hierbei nur auf meinen. Deshalb werde ich den HDMI HD-Audio Extractor zurückschicken. Für die Idee gebe ich trotzdem einen Stern.

      Artikel ist sehr hochwertig.
      Leider hat es nach kurzer Testzeit ergeben, das der Ton nicht so wie von mir erwartet (Atmos) durchgeschleift wird, wie vorgesehen. Zudem hatte die normale, digitale Tonspur gesponnen, so dass im Wechsel einmal die Soundbar, dann der TV den Ton wiedergeben haben.... Immer hin und her. Ich denke, das meine Hardware hier nicht so kompatibel ist, wie von mir vorgesehen.
      Das liegt also nicht an diesem Gerät.
      Leider muss ich das Teil zurücksenden und weiterhin die Kabel manuell an der Quelle wechseln.

      Ich möchte ein kurze Bewertung für dieses magisches Teil schreiben!

      Mein Problem:
      Ich besitze eine Av Vorstufe Marantz 7701 mit 4k 30Hz jedoch ohne HDR HDMI 2.0/2.2 und 60Hz.
      Leider kann ich kein 4k und auch kein HDR mit meinen Fire TV Stick Streamen.
      Mein Beamer kann alles HDR,4K 60Hz, und HDCP 2.2.
      Die Vorstufe kostete 2tsd Euro NEU, der Klang ist wirklich super. Vorstufen beginnen 8gebraucht) erst ab 1100€ die das alles können das ich brauche
      Was tun? Neu kaufen oder gebraucht möchte ich nicht. Abhilfe schafft dieser Converter.
      Der 4K Fire TV Stick wird einfach an HDMI IN Eingesteckt. Mein AV Reciever an HDMI 2 Only AUDIO OUT und der Beamer kommt an HDMI 1 OUT. Danach der gewünschte Mode Einstellen (Bei mir 7.1) Und es funktioniert. Es wird die volle Bandbreite 4k 60Hz an den Beamer und Ton an den AV übertragen. Super!
      Beim erst Betrieb hatte ich Probleme mit der 4k Verschlüsselung. Kein 4k beim Stream möglich.
      Hab im Betrieb den MODE in und Hergeschalten und dann hat es funktioniert. Seither ohne Probleme (auch nach ziehen des Netztsteckers über nacht)
      Av schaltet im Kino Betrieb Automatisch von Stereo auf Doly+ um. Was man nicht machen sollte ist an den HDMi Eingängen im Betrieb an und anstecken das führt zu schweren Bildfehlern. Es ist aber kein Prolem die AV Vorstufe oder andere Geräte auszuschalten (Im Betrieb). Audio kann Bidirektional benutzt werden.
      Falls es zu kurzen Blitzen kommt etc. im Betrieb einfach kurz den Converter abstecken und fertig.
      Das Gerät wird Handwarm und hat auch schon längere Fernsehabende ohne Probleme übstanden.

      Fazit! Ich brauch keinen neuen Av Reciever...... Das finde ich gut! Klare Kaufempfehlung

      Después de más de un año de uso, me gustaría dejar mis impresiones para ayudar a cualquier futuro comprador.

      Aunque cumple con lo que supuestamente indican en sus características, falla bastante con el tema 4k y Dolby Vision. La imagen muchas veces se ve totalmente roja, o directamente no da señal de video y la única opción es desenchufarlo y volverlo a enchufar. También suele producir una especie de ruido en la imagen, que son como pequeños puntos en la imagen, como si fueran "estrellas".

      Lo he usado con varios dispositivos, pero principalmente con la NVIDIA SHIELD y junto a una OLED LG. No lo recomiendo la verdad.
      Parecía que a nivel de características cumplía con lo indicado, pero da demasiados errores.

      Hace passthrough de audio y video perfectamente, ideal para aquellos que tengan un AVR sin 4K ni HDR pero no queréis cambiarlo aún. El audio te lo deriva por un HDMI al ampli y el video directamente a la televisión, soporta todos los formatos de HDR. La única pega, que sólo puedes tener conectado un sólo reproductor, si quieres tener más dispositivos conectados, existen otros modelos de la misma marca. Saludos

      Acquistato per dividere il segnale audio e video del PC, in modo da poter inviare il video alla TV e l'audio all'amplificatore; in questo modo è possibile mandare entrambi segnali in ogni formato supportato senza preoccuparsi di problemi di compatibilità: si collega il PC all'input, la TV all'HDMI out 1, l'amplificatore all'HDMI out 2 (audio) e si seleziona la modalità "Out2" (ovvero che mixa l'EDID audio dalla HDMI2 su quella della HDMI1).
      Fin qui tutto ok, e funziona perfettamente: video HDR, 4K 60Hz, 1440p 120Hz etc sulla TV, audio in ATMOS sull'amplificatore (VRR, Freesync e GSync però non funzionano con nessun splitter, attenzione!). Il dispositivo sembra anche ben costruito, completamente in metallo.
      Ho testato anche se introduce latenza, ed è praticamente 0 (inferiore ad un millisecondo, quindi assolutamente impercettibile).
      Purtroppo salta subito fuori l'inghippo: il dispositivo manda di continuo segnali CEC alla TV, obbligandola a switchare l'uscita audio sugli speaker interni, ed è un bel problema!
      Questo vuol dire che finché il dispositivo è acceso non solo non si possono più usare le app della smart TV con l'audio sull'amplificatore, ma non è più possibile nemmeno comandare il volume dell'amplificatore con il telecomando della TV.
      Il problema non è risolvibile, in quanto dal dispositivo non c'è modo di aggiornare firmware o altro, si è limitati solo a quello che si può selezionare con i pulsanti. Il sito ufficiale (in tedesco) in questi casi suggerisce di disabilitare le funzioni CEC, ma sui TV Samsung questo comporta disabilitare anche ARC... Il che vuol dire perdere del tutto il collegamento con l'amplificatore (per la TV).
      L'unico modo per risolvere è staccare la spina dal dispositivo; finché è acceso invia un comando CEC ogni pochi secondi, non c'è nulla da fare.
      Attaccare e staccare la spina ogni volta è improponibile (anche perché il dispositivo una volta piazzato non è proprio a portata di mano), per cui mi tocca renderlo e sostituirlo con una AVR Key della HDFury, che costa il doppio ma non supporta proprio i comandi CEC (quindi ottimale per un PC).
      Se non fosse per questo difetto, sarebbe un dispositivo ottimo e ad un prezzo abbordabile, anche se il mandare comandi alla TV ogni pochi secondi mi fa pensare che il firmware abbia bisogno di qualche revisione (non ha senso come cosa in se). Se per voi quanto descritto sopra non è un problema (magari non usate le app dalla TV e avete un telecomando universale tipo Harmony), allora potrebbe valere la pena provarlo (anche perché l'unica alternativa valida costa il doppio). Peccato.
