Nach 8,5 Jahren habe ich meinen Denon AVR4310 nun in Rente geschickt. Technologisch war er langsam am Ende. Einzig beim Klang hatte ich Befürchtungen! Dazu später mehr...
Beim ersten Auspacken gefiel mir die Verarbeitung sehr gut. Die Haptik ist super und bis auf die Plastikklappe durchaus vergleichbar mit meinem 4310.
Die Anschlüsse sind ebenfalls hochwertig verarbeitet und das Anschließen war problemlos möglich.
Ich betreibe an dem Receiver 2x Canton GLE490 (Front), 2x Canton GLE470 (Rear), 1x Canton GLE455 (Center) und 1x Canton SUB10.2 (Subwoofer).
Die Ersteinrichtung war gewohnt einfach und ging schnell von der Hand. Das ist auch für Einsteiger sehr gut geeignet. Die Fernbedienung liegt gut in der Hand und ist verständlich aufgeteilt. Einzig die Beleuchtung fehlt manchmal. Dadurch das ich aber eine Logitech Harmony damit betreibe, wird es mich nicht weiter stören.
Die Einmessung in den Raum funktionierte hervorragend. Gerade da wir einen schwierigen Raum haben (48qm, Deckenhöhe von 1,60m bis 4,25m), war ich vom 4310 gewohnt, nachjustieren zu müssen. Das neue Audyssey XT32 konnte die Berechnung zu meiner vollsten Zufriedenheit erledigen.
Der Klang, welcher sich danach zeigte, ist atemberaubend gut. Alles ist noch mal feiner aufgelöst, sauberer Bass, deutlich kraftvoller auch von den Lautsprechern aus. Früher galt bei bei Denon ja immer der etwas flache Bass als negatives Kriterium. Das ist nun vorbei.

Macht Vieles einfacher! Deswegen hat sich der Receiver seine 5 Sterne voll verdient. Ich bin zufrieden!

I bought Denon 4400 to have a 5.1.4 complete Atmos setup when Amazon made a super discount on the price, the price was 750 € when I bought. For that price it is a great AVR. It has lots of power and details for movies.My speakers are Heco Music Style 900 as front, Heco Victa 101 Center, Heco Victa 201 as surround and 2 pairs of Canton Plus GX3 as overhead Atmos speakers.I was using Denon 3400 before I bought this Denon 4400. To be honest it dont think, it is a huge step over 3400. Denon 4400 just gives a slightly finer sound than the 3400 at the music, for the movies to be honest I didnt feel a difference. So my personal idea is no need to pay extra 400 € over the Denon 3400 unless you want to make a complete 5.1.4 or 7.1.4 setup according to their usual prices. But if you can find a super discounted price like Amazon offered, it is very reasonable to jump on Denon 4400 :-)Also I want to mention that picture quality is better than Denon 3400 which is weird according to me. I closed all visual improvements in both AVR's menu. May be this is a result of better compenents.Why I gave four stars to Denon 4400 is its remote control and performance in music. Remote controller gave a cheap plasctic feeling and it is not a learning remote. For that level of receivers, I think they should offer a better learning remote as the previous Onkyo 828.Before Denon 3400, I was using Onkyo TX-NR828 which dont have Atmos & DTS-X support. And that Onkyo was far better in music than Denon 3400 also more powerful than the 3400. Onkyo had a brute power but Denon gives a more detailed sound in cinema especially at center speaker.Denon 4400 has a better warmer sound than the 3400 but not as clean as the Onkyo as I can remember. Since there is no chance to make a one on one comparision with that Onkyo right now, I just shared what I feel.Also 3 hdmi out is a superb property. I use main hdmi out for the tv in living room, 2nd hdmi out is used for the projector. 3rd one is used for the TV in an another room as Zone 2. This is the reason why I continue with Denon.
