Heart stopping romance. Made me wish he was real !
What a to die for romance. The very best book of Sandra Brown I have read. I could really relate to all the people in this book. I am from Texas and was raised around people like the Tylers. It really hit close to home. I hope there will be more books of the Tyler family. I would love to know what happens after Texas! Sage. It could go on forever, i would not mind !

Why was this story told?
I find Sandra Brown's "Texas" characters two dimensional. Like "Where There's Smoke" her male characters act like adolescent boys who think overpowering a woman is the only way to deal with them. I kept wondering why this story needed to be told and was very thankful it only took me a day to read it. I didn't consider the reading a waste...

SEX, SUSPENSE, AND SCANDALOUS DOINGS, 31. Januar 2009
Followers of Sandra Brown's titles (55+ NY Times bestsellers) know what to expect - hefty doses of sex, suspense and scandalous doings. They'll not be disappointed with Texas! Lucky and will be especially pleased with a voice performance by actress Coleen Marlo. This is a reading to be remembered - Marlo taught acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute for ten years and certainly knows her way around a script. Her television appearances include Murder She Wrote and China Beach, while on the stage she's been seen in A Streetcar Named Desire and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. This is one audio book you may want to listen to twice and then share with friends!
The action in the story couldn't take place anywhere but the Lone Star State. Lucky Tyler is the quintessential fictional Texan - a good looking ladies man with a trigger temper. One night he's hanging out in a way less than 5-star bar when a gorgeous redhead begins to get unwanted attention from some locals. Lucky, of course, to the rescue!
Now, you'd think a lady pulled from the jaws of distress would show some gratitude but no - Devon Haines hopped into her car and took off. Lucky set out to find her and that he did, ending in one of Brown's famous night scenes. However despite this nocturnal pleasure Devon disappeared again. As it happened a fire broke out at Tyler Drilling at the same time Lucky and Devon were making the earth move. He needs an alibi and she needs to keep a secret.
Vintage Brown, memorable Marlo = entertainment and enjoyment.

This was the best book that I have ever read in my life., 24. September 1998

I first read this book about 5 years ago. I was able to read all 3 Texas Books at the same time. Texas Trilogy. All three books captivated me. The stories made me feel like I knew the Tylers personaly. I cried when they cried and laughed when they laughed. I really think that there should be another sequel to these books.

Wow! What a book!, 6. August 1998

This was the first Sandra Brown book I read and that was about seven years ago. I'm now hooked on her books. I stayed up and finished this book in one night. I then waited on pins and hooks for Texas Chase and Texas Sage.

Captivating book., 31. Juli 1998

I found this book very captivating. The way the characters felt toward each other really gave me the sense of anger and I also felt their fear of giving in to each other. Sandra Brown has written this book in a way where you are not only paying attention to what's happening with the main characters but also with the other characters that help shape the story. The characters are excellent and the book will keep you reading until it is finished.

I didn't consider the reading a waste of my time because I didn't have anything better to do.
