"The Chocolate Bear Burglary" is the second book in the Chocoholic-Mysteries and set about 6 months after "The Chocolate Cat Caper":

To spice business up in off-season there is a Teddy Bear Getaway Promotion in Warner Pier/Michigan. All the downtown merchants have agreed to participate. TenHuis Chocolade is not only molding chocolate teddy bears but also hosting a display of antique chocolate teddy bear molds which belong to the local rich and famous VanHart-family. All of a sudden there is a burglary and one of the moulds is stolen. The prime suspect is Lee's eighteen-year-old stepson who suddenly appeared at Warner Pier under the pretense that his parents have ganged up on him....

"The Chocolate Bear Burglary" is a very worthy follow-up. There is enough background information that enables the reader to enjoy this one w/o necessarily having read the first one, but I'd still recommend reading them in order. Even if Warner Pier is a fictional resort in Michigan, Carl did a great job depicting places, developing her crew of characters and made Lee an even more likeable heroine. There are also interesting tidbits and trivia about chocolate and mysteries evolving around/involving chocolate included.

Result: A light, very tasty and entertaining read! Am very much looking forward to reading No. 3 in this series: "The Chocolate Frog Frame-Up"!
