I really enjoyed 'Duchess by night'. Of course Harriet can not take part in Jem's house party undisguised. So what else is there to do than disguise herself as a man and enjoy what English society has in stock on house parties? I really liked the a little bit naive Harriet having to fend of women wanting to introduce her to fleshly pleasures, show Jem how manly she is and fight her interest in him at the same time. It was a delightful romp through a wild house party. I thought it really cute how Jem couldn't fathom why he as so interested in 'Harry' and even more delightful when Jem confronts Harry, while Harry still thinks Jem believes her to be a man. At the end of the book it takes the necessary dramatic turn which was really hard on my nerves ^^" Afterwards the happy end was so much more wonderful. A top pick.
