Ultra-über-secret goverment agency (of course in the US of A) [SPOILERS],

The first part of the book is very exciting and interesting, but the moment the lead character is put into prison, things turn from exciting to first boring then strange. It was still a good read up to this point.
What really turned me down, was the fact, that this ultra-super-über agency would let a (super) thief steal all their stuff. They control and monitor every research on the planet, but do not notice warehouses full of their stuff going missing? They have AIs all over the place. It just doen't make sense. After the ecape from prison, the story takes a steep dive down-hill. I like the idea of a gravity-satellite but to tear out the whole building... completetly ridiculous. I kind of got the feeling, the author had a very good idea about the first part of the book, but then couldn't really find a way out, and thus ensued the second part of the book (blot bunnys etc.)
Some nice SF ideas (nothing really new) and the idea about that secret organisation could've gone a lot further and more intriguing. Not really worth the time... Pity!
