Firelight was one of those books which was kind of hyped all over the internet in summer, and I was sceptic because of that at te beginning. I fell in love with this book first because of it's cover (it is even more beautiful when you hold the book in hands!)and after the short plotdescription sounded good, I ordered it.
After the book was in my mail box, I spend every free minute with Jacinda, Will and all the other characters!

Sophie Jordan takes the reader on a journey to a wold full of fantasy and magic. The characters are authentic and the plot is enthralling from beginning to the end. The end itself is unpredictable and comes sudden.

It may sounds a bit like a Romeo and Juliette kind of romance at first but it's definitely more complex than that. The discrepancy between existence and illusion of the Draki clan is described very appropriate ' finally a book where not everything is sunshine and roses! Firelight is definitely a start into a series with a beautiful forbidden romance but also a lot of tension that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Firelight leaves you with the urge to want more and that hopefully quickly.
