A great guide to the Comedy Central years.,

This book covers the pre-Sci-Fi Channel years, seasons one through six, and a preview of season seven. The book covers the origins of MST3K, the people responsible, and a pretty detailed review of each episode of seasons one through six. The KTMA days are briefly covered, and although I understand why they didn't want to focus much on them, I wish they had anyway. Each episode is covered by a member of the staff and then commented upon, with a an outline of the Host Segements and Stingers inbetween. It's fun to see what went on behind the scenes and what the staff was thinking about the movie they were tearing apart. There's also a tearful entry from Kevin Murphy about his encounter with Kurt Vonnegut. Also included in the back is a list of their 50 most obscure references; although I could think up about 100 more obscure ones than they have chosen. Another thing I would like to know is where exactly did they get these movies? They explained how they chose them, but not where on Earth they got their hands on them in the first place. That would be very interesting. There's a bio of each member of the gang in the back as well, but Mike's bio is on six or seven other people throughout history rather than himself, I think.
