Rezension bezieht sich auf: Richard Scarry's What Do People Do All Day (Gebundene Ausgabe)
I have loved Richard Scarry since the time when I was something like 5 years old and one of his books (the one on wind, planes, rockets and other things that fly, don't know the English title unfortunately) was my favourite book. So I have since introduced my kids (4 and 3) to his books, and they also love them.
However ... this is our absolute favourite! It has a few stories that go over 5-10 pages and explain everyday things ... how a house is built, how wood is processed and what you make from it, how the corn is grown, harvested, milled, and bread is made from it, and so on. But the level of detail is astounding, especially on the story of the ship that crosses the sea where you have an immense cross-section of the ship showing all kinds of things happening on it (including a stowaway hidden in the lifeboat). I could spend maybe half an hour on that picture alone and discuss with my kids what is happening there.
