Fresh, inspired writing,
Rezension bezieht sich auf: How to Be a Domestic Goddess: Baking and the Art of Comfort Cooking (Gebundene Ausgabe)
Anyone who enjoyed the first book "How to Eat", will also savour this delightfully written book which chiefly devotes itself to baking. The recipes are imaginative and mouth-watering and what's more always work. The only quibble is that non-UK readers may very occasionally have problems in obtaining the odd more unusual ingredient - but it's not really a problem as most of them can be substituted for something just as good. Nigella Lawson gives credit to old friends and family for their recipes where due and as always dispenses with any pretension or snobbishness where things culinary are concerned. She has a lively and personal way of writing - it's nice even after a long day to just take the book to bed for a good read as long as you don't mind your tummy rumbling and feeling hunger pangs after you've brushed your teeth! In England already a runaway bestseller (and deservedly so) as it converts non-bakers (like myself) into enthusiastic triers. Her recipe for an onion supper tart is a revelation - tasty and uncomplicated to make as is the one for tiny cheesecakes. Buy the book and join a legion of fans who can't wait for the next one to come out! It is unlike any other recipe book you've ever read.
