Excellent guests album,
Rezension bezieht sich auf: Wrote a Song for Everyone (Audio CD)
The booklet contains John's explanation for each featured song being originally written. The most notable among them is for Fortunate son. John includes a picture of himself in Army uniform, and says that that a lot of Americans didn't support their government. I'll add that Vietnam is one conflict that Britain did not support America either.
John performs two songs solo, the rest featuring guests that made their names in either country or rock music. This mix of styles will not please everybody, but it pleases me, especially as the differences are not as marked as the genes might suggest.
While the songs are mostly re-workings of Creedence hits, there are some less obvious songs here and a few great Creedence hits are absent. Still, this is a great album of its type and may even tempt some into buying the originals.
