way too basic,
Rezension bezieht sich auf: The Lucky Shopping Manual: Building and Improving Your Wardrobe Piece by Piece (Sondereinband)
Ok, if you have no sense of fashion at all and always struggle what forms or colors are combinable then this is the book for your to buy. BUT if you already have a good sense of fashion and style and look for further inspiration to reach your personal perfection, this is the wrong book.
If you belong to the first group: This book will help you to manage your wardrobe. You can look at sections like "skirts", "t-shirts", "dresses" to "undergaments" and "swimwear". this book tells you with kind of figure what shape of say skirts is flattering. It tells you, to stick with the skirt example, how to combine an a-line skirt (e.g. what top, blouse, shoes and accessory), a pencil skirt, a longt skirt etc. This goes on for every possible form in each and every section. It will tell you what is basic and should be in any wardrobe and what are fun pieces. So if you feel like you still need a bit of orientation about the whole fashion stuff, this a a good book to take a look at. I do like that there are also chapters on bags and outerwear, for example. there are many pictures so you can immediately see what they are talking about.
If you belong to the second group, hands off. This book is way to basic. i read it through in like 2 hours and felt like i already knew everything in it. there was nothing new about it. unfortunately, this book stays very basic and does not look beyond the borders. there is no real fun part in there. as a fashionista i have to say, this book is a no go for someone who already has a sense for her own style. you would just be pretty bored, like i was and that is a waste of money, in the end. instead, take a look at "style clinic" by paula reed. this is what i call inspirational and creative. so if fashion also means fun to you and you could do with some fresh inspirations, read the second book. it's worth it! (it covers sections for each age, occasion and style type. you'll alaways find useful tips there!)
