I wouldn't call this a manual. It's more of a comprehensive reference / checklist for anyone interesting in building their own start-up. If you're familiar with Osterwalder's Business Model Canvas (BMC) this book will be an easy read. If not i suggest you get the BMC book first. I'm using it for building successful spin-outs from a large organisations. One of the drawbacks the book does have is that practically all the examples are in a B2C context and evry much aimed at technology start-ups, very little attention is being paid tot B2B environments or and there are only a few service oriented examples. You'll have to demonstrate some creativity there if that is the core of your startup.
