A good but not a very good book,
Rezension bezieht sich auf: The Lonely Planet Guide to Travel Photography (How to Series) (Taschenbuch)
So what's the difference between "good" and "very good"?
In my opinion this book would have been not only good but very good had it included more about the art of photography and not focused so much on the technical side. I think the book should be called the Lonely Planet Guide to the Technical Side of Travel Photography.
The author is clearly an expert. And sure it's important to know what camera to use, what lense etc. but that's not all there is to say about travel photography.
To be fair it includes tips on how to get great pictures of wildlife, mountains and so on. But I really think something is missing in this book: the art of travel photography. Maybe in the next edition? Thanks in advance Richard!
Anyway: Despite that 'minor' flaw I believe it is a book one should read if one is professionally or semi-professionally interested in travel photography. Even an advanced amateur photographer should read this book.
